Fuel Pump Check Valve

chaseincats · September 24Sep 24

Hi all - Great news - after a very long time of chasing lead after lead, I've finally found the culprit for my hard start - gas is flowing back to the tank, oddly through my new fuel pump overnight. I ended up putting a clamp on the hose that sits between the fuel filter and fuel rail, waited 24 hours, then cranked the engine and it started right up. The odd thing is if I manually trigger the fuel pump to pressurize the rail, then crank the engine, it still acts as if the rail is completely dry

Can i use a taylor 8.2 mm cable wire from coil to distributor

72 Datsun 240z · September 1Sep 1

Is it safe to replace only the coil to distributor wire with taylor 8.2mm cable and leave the other 6 ngk ne61 blue spark plug wires as they are? I noticed the blug ngk coil to distributor wire measured 3.74 k while the same taylor wire mesure 76.4k.

Aerodynamics Simulations (CFD) Showcase of '69-'78 S30 (240Z, 260Z, 280Z) With and Without Ducktail Spoiler

Hi everyone! I thought I would share this project I did recently regarding the aerodynamics of the S30 with you. A while back I came across some wind tunnel test data from the HybridZ community, and saw that apparently adding a rear ducktail not only reduces lift, it also appears to reduce aerodynamic drag! This puzzled me and I wanted to see why that might be. Since I could not find any good sources about this subject for the S30, I made a complete aerodynamic analysis of the car with and witho

SN 00042 Restoration; The Older Twin

motorman7 · November 4, 20241 yr

HLS30-00042 arrived this afternoon for a complete restoration. Boy, this an early one, complete with the original clear rear window. It's a little beat up, but most of the parts are there. I own HLS30-02614 in the same color, so by the time I am finished they should be looking like twins. The motor runs, which is great, but it will undergo a complete rebuild. Amazingly, the head still has the overspray on the lower portion, which is pretty rare to see. I will see if the machine shop ca
