Sorry not sure if this has been already posted but could not find anything specific on it. I should start from the begining, I had the issue with the fuse block melting to a point on the headlight fuse. So bought a new fuse block off zstore and threw that in, all was well and good till i connected the battery and it blew the instrument/dome light fuse. While troubleshooting I disconnected the 2 wires that are on the side of the ignition switch and tried again, no blown fuse, everything works fine, so am curious what do these wires do, and are they important. Any feedback y'all could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I can move the trim part that runs left to right across the middle of the tail light. I would like to remove and paint it. Any tips on its removal? Is it 2 way tape or are there plastic studs that go into the red plastic body that are glued/fastened/melted on the inside?

Hello, I am still making that 240ZG model but am having trouble finding a picture of an original battery. The closest I got was a thread by kats ( http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13095&page=1 ) but still no dice. Does anyone know what they looked like, or even better have a picture of one? I would much appreciate it

Im looking to upgrade to an electrical ignition system on my 1973 240Z. I was thinking of going with an MSD ignition and coil. From what I have read on the forums im getting confused on what I have to do with regards to the distributor and what I need to do to have a successful setup. Can someone please explain everything I need to do to get this working properly and what parts I will need. OR if there is a link to a write up. Thanks for the help.

Build Date of 8/70. headlights work, tail lights work, all running lights work, hazards work, but when you turn on the left turnsignal the front and inside signal show you turning left but the right rear is blinking instead of the left. Hi, I grounded out the wires to the sensors and the gauges stay down. I'm told there is a fuse for these two gauges. where is it? all fuses in the fusebox are OK . car is not a butcher job. it is a 63,000 mile original which has been sitting since the 80s. I drive it every day now with a set of mechanical gauges, but if I can get these two gauges working EVERYTHING will work on the car. Thanks for the help! Dave

OK my tach, fuel gauge, temp and oil preasure as well as the choke light have stopped working a few times in the last couple days. Then they just start working again, wow its the magic Z. In any case this magic is not quite as entertaining as it is a pain in the butt. Any ideas what it could be, the car is a 1974 260z. Thanks Glenn

Car is a 240Z - 10/70 build date (Series 1) What is the circuit marked "common" on the lower right of the fuse block (shown with white arrow in photo) for? Does a fuse belong in this slot?? If so, what amperage?

Folks, Car is 1972 240Z with stock alternator and voltage regulator (mechanical). Yesterday morning I knew the only hope I had of finding a parking spot was in the semi-reserved faculty lot on the top of a ghastly, horribly obsolete, parking garage. Since this involved four complete circumnavigations of the active parking areas with 100s of stressed -out hormonally charged neophyte drivers, I decided to turn on my headlights for safety. It worked, and worked well as when I returned to my car 11 hours later it was dent-free. Not enough juice left in the battery to light up the LED dome light, but at least it didn't get a dent. Got a jump and headed home. As expected, th…

My 280Z has a D6F4-01 distributor. The three leads at the end of it's harness are all the same color of blue, but I at least have them marked as to where they go from when I tore the engine out (they go to the terminal block near the front of the left fender well). My problem is the female half of a bullet connector that leads to a small condenser (which is close to the terminal block for the three blue distributor wires) that I marked "Dist" at the time I pulled the engine. I need to know where the other half of this wire would connect to the distributor.

I have a '70 model, blt. 6/70. The The temp/oil pressure gauge went bad recently. I am having trouble finding a good oil pressure gauge that reads up to 140, like the one in the car now. I have found a known good gauge, but the pressure only goes up to 90 (later model). If I install the later gauge, will it read accurately? If anybody has a good one that read up to 140, let me know. Ok, so my console has been out for a while while I worked over the carpet and installed a new stereo. So, I have everything ready to go back in and I noticed these single wires with bullet connectors and I cannot remember where some of them go. Here is what I've got: A couple of the wires are solid black. There is a black with a red stripe. There is a Green with yellow stripe. What I do know is that the Green/Yellow stripe wire is for the Ashtray and is probably paired with one of the black wires for a ground. I've got nothing for the other black wire and the black with red stripe wire. I have looked over the wiring until my eyes have crossed. Any clues would be ap…
