At some point in ancient history, the wire from my fuel pump was cut. The mechanical one seems to work just fine with no starvation or vapor lock issues, but our club's tech guru thinks I should either hook it back up or bypass it because the mechanical pump has to pull fuel through the non-working electric pump. I found the fuse for the fuel pump, and it looks fine but I can't figure out where the wire from the fuel pump was hooked into the electrical system. Both ends of fuse lead back into bundled wiring and (apparently) back over the the P/S footwell junction blcok/connectors/relays. The long wire from the fuel pump up to the front of the car comes up the P/S firewall…

Just got a used Petronix setup with a parts distributor. Want to try and find someone that still has their installation instructions to see if they can scan them and email them for me. Anybody?

Hi guys 73 240 box stock Right turn sig is perfect. Left turn: rear light flashes, but no flash in dash or front left. The bulb and wire to the harness in front are fine: i checked. I pluged the left front harness in to the right socket behing the grill and it flashes fine The flasher thingy (round plugs in under dash) is good, I swaped it out: same thing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

hey all... question. does anyone know where on the ignition switch the green wire from the voltage regulator goes? to be more specific...the "green" wire comes off the VR plug and according to the wiring diagrams i have it goes directly to the ignition switch. if only that were so... it goes thru a punch of connection points first. was wondering if this wire is supposed to be connected in a splice to the black with a blue stripe at the switch. if not, can i connect it there anyway to get power? there is a constant power send once teh switch is on at the black/blue wire.

So I have a '71 turn signal switch hooked to a '73 dash and headlight switch. Besides the fact that my turn signal switch needs some cleaning and checking, people say that '71 and '73 switches differ. I'm wondering if there is a way to use the '71 switch on '73 setup with some kind of conversion. Now, I ordered Wick Humble's How to Restore blah blah blah book. Does the book show you how to restore a t/s switch? Anyone know how to convert a '71 t/s switch to use on a '73 dash?

I've been out working on the car tonight and I noticed something odd. With the headlights off and whether the car is started or not, when I depress the brake pedal the interior dash lights illuminate as do the front parking lights. When I take the foot off the brake pedal they turn off. I'm not sure if this is a new phenomenon or something that has happened on my watch. I recently washed the engine but this seems like an odd result. I also have the heater control panel and all of the connected items removed while I replace it. I also removed the clock and tried to clean it (and I changed it's bulb). None of those things are particularly logical causes of this. All …

ZCar Creations can sell you a stainless bolt kit with a bolt labeled 'wiper motor gound.' Where do you find that bolt? If the motor grounds to the body, maybe it's a big reason why it runs so slow.
