I need a socket and pigtail for a rear taillight for a 1973 240Z. The plastic has broken. I do not want to buy a whole new harness so I need the socket and wiring for the back taillight only. Does anyone know where I can get this puppy? It is the socket and wire only I don't want the harness. By the way it is for the RIGHT rear taillight. Thanks for the help if you can.

Alright, so I pulled my dash to replace some bulbs in my gauges, and to take out all of the wiring that the P.O. had put in for his amp install (which is no longer there), as well as to remove all of my aftermarket air conditioning wiring. When I went to disconnect the wires that go to the brake light switch (I'm not sure if this is the correct name, but I believe it works) one of the wires ripped off of the unit itself (I know, I probably pulled too hard). I pulled the unit out, and soldered it back onto the connector, then tested it with a multimeter, and it was working just fine. I put it back onto the car, and the drivers side brake light now does not work all of t…

bolted to the alternator, and connected to the + cable is a small resistor thing. im wondering. does this need to be on the car? i took mine off, cause i recrimped the wire, and my car has been EATING napa alternators...ive tried boshc and raylock. ive been told only get a Nissan Oem one. ive switched to an internal one, so im running a ZX. my light fuse (parking) also gets hellishly hot, and my volt meter drops a lot when lights turned on (grounds all OK) so im going to replace the fuse box, cause i think thats the problem. but i want to find out what this resistor thing is. anybody have an FSM or something?

I pulled my dash today in order to fix my radiator drain ****, and when I pulled the dash, 3 wires came unplugged from a relay before I could do anything about it. I have no idea what order the three wires plug into, or what the relay is, but I believe it to be the turn signal relay, because the turn signals no longer work, but the emergency flashers do. The relay is right next to the wire that goes to the plunger for the drivers side door. What is it? also, behind the heater control panel, there is a couple harnesses with ends on them, any idea where these wires attach to? I have no idea myself, and they weren't hooked up before, and I'm shitty at reading wiring dia…

I own a '71 and I was trying to use parts from a '73. Is there a difference between '71 and '73 dashes? Anything different with the dash harness from a '73 that won't cooperate with the '71?

My turn signals are not working. I have tested the switch on the column with a multimeter and the contacts seem to be working correctly (but the Haynes manual has the switch development wrong, no surprise). Anyways, I'm still not getting a signal. In the manual it calls out a white wire that connects to the Turn Signal Flash Switch. There is no white wire on either of the turn signal switches I have (scavenged one from a part car), but there is a red and yellow wire that is not shown in the manual. I'm open to suggestions. If you think you can help, please tell me what might need to be replaced and if/how I might be able to test it with a multimeter. Thanks, Zack P…

Just wondering if anyone out there has ever used teh current plugs in teh harness, and replaced all the wires by hand? Is this possible? or just pull your hair out crazy? Under my passenger side it looks like a nightmare. who ever had this car before me did like a million splices on the original setup. and half of the wires in there have plugs, but do nothing and go nowhere (GNDN)... opinions?

Originally I had to manually park the wipers, but now I can't get them to shut off. Thinking it might be related to the infamous "slow wipers" problem, I pulled everything off the car and cleaned & re-lubed the arms to where they are working nicely. I didn't pull the motor apart, just cleaned the exterior up. Plugged the motor back in, and still won't shut off. Could it be the switch on the steering column? If so, any tips on what to look for? Thanks...Robert
