Like the title states, is this gasket still available. Can it be had by itself? Is silicone a suitable replacement for the gasket? I was swaping to my electronic dist today and the gasket didn't remain in one piece.

So i've been doing some searching and can't find answers for what i'm after... 1) I see MSD has two different part #'s for their blaster 2 coils, anyone know the correct one? I've got a 240 that i'm putting an E12-80 dizzy in. 2) Will i loose my tack by putting the E12-80 and blaster coil in (eliminating the Balast)? Every thread on the subject only says how to hook it up (Distributor). They say nothing of if the tach will still work. Thanks for any help, Jay

What does this link do? Does it power all the accessories? Well I've been living with a drain on my battery when I turn the car off for a couple months now. If I remove that link the battery isn't drained. But if I leave it, the battery will be dead in like 12 hours. I'm about tired of having to remove that wire everytime I stop and putting it back on everytime I leave and having to reconfigure my stereo everytime too! I have a multimeter and with that wire connected I tryed to measure the amps running through it with the car off. I read 0. So this wire must provide power to the alternator? Then all the accesories draw their power through the alternator? But if there was …

I know grounding kits have been covered before, but does this one with the "stabilizer" have any merit? I would think it is a sort of surge suppressor and it makes sense to me that it would be a benefit. But then again I'm not an eletrical/electronic guru. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33574&item=7963517651&rd=1 Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Just wanted to clear up a few questions I had relating to proper coil operation. When the key is on "ON" but the engine not going, power should be going into the + of the coil. Should current flow between the + and - of the coil without the engine on? Should it flow between the + of the coil and the chassis ? When the Coil is firing the current between the + and - of the coil should be "pulsating" right? Thanks, just trying to sort out why my car has no spark (distributor and coil are fine).

OK I have spark now, and I have fuel pressure at the injectors. But They dont seem to be opening. The spark plug does not smell like fuel, and I cant feel them clicking. I checked and there is curernt going to both wires of the injector. Any ideas ? Cheers

Which is the closest top post to the engine? I thought the negative was closest to the motor and the positive was up under the inspection lid. Thanks in advance......Keith

<geeez> :stupid: Where the heck does the black wire that comes off the coil on my 82zx go? The car still runs without it being hooked up but i'm sure it is suppose to go somewhere? And..... i know this isn't an electrical question but where can i find a schematic for the hoses. i have a feeling some of them are not right?

Just wondering if anyone has tried to install this on a Z. This is a newer technology where each spark plug has its own ignition coil directly on top of the plug. Because there are no high voltage leads going along the engine you can get higher voltages and sparks. One problem I've read about is that the coils can short out. Here's what the coil on plug coil looks like on a 6.0L Lambroghini Diablo (that's my parts car I have up on blocks behind the garage )

hey everyone its been awhile. alright some time ago i mentioned that my dash lights hadnt worked since i took out the stereo in my 75. well i think i finally figured it out, i hope. your opinions would be much appreciated before i proceed. alright in the schematic it shows a green wire with a white tracer connecting the ignition to the light switch in the combo and then also to all of the dashlights and headlights and such. the headlights have their own ground up front and are on a diferent ground from that of the dashlights. they have always worked. but the dashlights i believe have their ground through a red wire with a blue tracer as shown in the schematic. this…

I am FED UP with the dual point mallory, as I am sure that this is the reason for the erratic stumbling on acceleration, this motor will free rev ( I know nono ) all day long and then under a load will occasionally seem like a rev limiter has suddenly stepped into the picture. Anyone that has suggestions please lemme know, I drove the car this morning to work and like usual, the problem is gone and the car has GREAT pull and power all the way up. I even beat a fiat off the line. Kidding. But you wait, lunch will come and the car will hesitate again... At any rate, anyone have any suggestions regarding dizzys? I want to ofcourse get away from the points, so those o…
