I recently saw a thread about spraying plastic kote spray or coating on a fuse box before installing to keep it from corroding , I am replacing my swiss cheese fuse box < accurate description due to the many fuse holes > with a very clean one from ebay , the short tail style , was hoping if someone knew the exact name and how much to spray on it , I am hoping to avoid redoing this job again, also any suggestions in area of contact cleaner , i have to clean all my contact I am sure I don't want a repeat with this box, thanks

Carl, Wonderful article on the Ignitor. After seeing the photos, one cannot make the assumption that the Pertronix is mearly a reed switch activated by a magnet. Am I correct on this? Are there any Aussie Guys using this system? Keep those fingers hitting the keyboard and look forward to more in depth how to's!

on my 74 260z i got for free the owner before last adapted what looks like a gm coil to use on the z, it looks as tho he just wrapped some wires about the orignal eyelet connectors and put tape over it, could this cause, resistance? thus reducing spark? the plugs have been black and it smells of gas when i have the choke on, but according to what ive read and been told my carbs have been adjusted properly (stumbles but keeps running) im going to look under the tape tommrow and see whats up but could that be a problem?

Ok so i've read through some old posts and here is what I think may be important to note with regard to my brake lights. To begin with I've checked all fuses and I'll double check them again soon but I replaced 1 blown one. This has not got the brake lights working. The flashers work fine and the parkers light up on both sides, I've just double checked that all wires are connected at the back of the car because I've been installing a stereo recently and think i may have disturbed something while doing this. It's just the actual depress of the pedal that gives no results all other lights on the car work. Im out of ideas unless it's the actual switch at the brake pedal.…

Why is it that we never hear about ---I was cleaning the connectors on my 30 + year old wiring harness------We hear--- this doesn't work --.If you can touch a factory connector ,unplug it in and out again and again, shine is fine. The wire won't fail it will be at a connection point. How many times have you overlooked the opportunity during a rebuild?

First off I have searched and read as many posts as I can about cleaning the connectors on the turn signal switch but no answers to which I'm looking for. My right blinker works fine (lights up on dash/front signal light/back signal light) but my left blinker only works on the rear signal light. When the blinker is in the left position I can hear the flasher working but the light on the dash and the front signal light does not work (doesn't even come on solid). When I flip the hazard switch all of the lights work (and flash) on the dash, front signals, and back signals. Anybody have any clue?

Looking for help with my 5/71's dash lights. Since i've owned the car, going on three years the lights never worked. When switched on the running lights will come on but not the gauge lights. There is power at the lead RED/Blue to the rheostat. But when I tried to probe the leads I broke the lead that went to two Red/Blue wires, which are reading ground. This lead should turn into Red/yellow for the gauge lights. But I never got power at the Red/yellow terminals. When power was induced to the two Red/Blue terminal leading out of the rheostat the logic probes circuit breaker cut in. Does any one have any idea as to what the hell is going on with my lights. Has any one had…

this problem comes in and out but I keep losing constant current through my car. The volt gauge shows zero with the car in off or the accessories position and my stereo wont turn on without the car on. Anybody have some suggestions? I have recently changed the alternator (2 weeks ago) so I don't think that is the problem. Thanks
