I saw these on a show, maybe Wheeler Dealers? They used them on a blue 510 and it looked good. So I search a little and find some for $331 and $1, 050. What do you guys think? They look like Christmas decorations to me but a lot brighter from the rear so attention getter for the fools that like to tailgate. Maybe I could just get the socket type LEDs, much cheaper. Plenty more important things to do like the Honda wiper and the other Dave Irwin upgrades. Bored as hell... https://www.amazon.com/Dapper-Lighting-240Z7073-1970-1973-Sequential/dp/B01GUBM15O https://zledslights.com/multimedia/?aid1=840863762611071

So, I am replacing the dash on a 1973 240z. In the process of putting everything back together I tested the bulbs for the gauges. I believe they are mini bayonet BA9s 1445. This is a 3.4 W incandescent bulb. I think that is a lot of power (watts = volts X current) for so little light. Anyway, I was curious if anyone has a direct LED replacement for the mini 1445. The version that I have fits some of the enclosures eg. the speedometer and tach, but are too tall for the gauges and the clock. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I reved the engine up and the charge light went back off and the headlights went back to normal but the brake warning light stayed illuminated. Not sure what is going on any ideas? I have a 71 and I gutted the whole interior and took the dash out and refinished the floor with some POR and cleaned all the vents and put in A/C. After I put the dash and everything back in the turn signals dont work, and when you turn on the headlights, the left signal lights up on the dash gauge. Any thoughts on the issue? please help

After a little trouble shooting I got the horn system working on my 1972 240z. The low tone horn works fine but when I isolate the high tone horn it just makes a "dink" sound when the horn button is pushed. It is obviously getting power so I pulled the horn off for a better visual inspection. It has some over spray on it from when the car was painted but it is not damaged or rusted. I have read several articles on rebuilding them but can see the gaskets and hardware are no longer available for them. Is there any other tests I can perform to make it work before taking it apart?

I had put this in the emergency forum. I just installed a new dash in my 1972 240z and now the indicator light in the dash points the opposite direction of the lever. The turn signals all work. I had cleaned the contacts in the turn signal. Brake lights work. Flasher works. Also, my left headlight is now real dim. Any help is appreciated!

Awesome, third time I've typed this up. Alright, so I have a 72' 240z and an EZ wiring harness (I forgot which one, but it's plenty). I have all of the diagrams I could find, and I'm using a color diagram from slash5.com. I'm no electronics noob, and have been messing with automotive wiring for quite a while. Even after consulting all my sources- I'm still slightly stumped due to the repetition of some of the wire colors. I'd like to integrate the EZ harness with the stock OEM plugs that go to the dash to keep it removable. I'm using this image ( http://album.hybridz.org/data/1/240Z_Instrument_Harness.jpg )- are there any similar diagrams that illustrate what each plug an…

The other day i found some spare gaskets and ring that are supposed to be installed before the distributor is inserted in the key shaft. However, i remember that last time i did that i had to call a mechanic because when i installed the distributor back the engine did not crank. https://zcardepot.com/distributor-installation-kit-gasket-hardware-240z-260z-280z.html Is this so complicated? I thought it was a simple plug and play procedure?

I would like to temporarily remove the relay panel on my 260Z in order to access the seatbelt interlock unit. I found two screws on the lower part of the relay panel into the kick panel and removed them. The panel came loose, but apparently has another screw higher up which I can't seem to get to. Could it be under the intermittent wiper relay? Does anyone know how to get to this screw, or have a picture of the relay panel removed?

Ever since I bought my 260z my tach has decided it has never wanted to work. Being that my car is an auto, it hasn't been too much trouble until now. However, a recent decision to attempt a manual swap and my general annoyance growing, I have decided to fix it. The issue initially seemed to be a connection issue, as the tachometer would occasionally come back to life mid drive and decide to work perfectly for me, apparently at random times. I took the dash off, cleaned all the tachometer connections, and reassembled everything. While the tach was out I tried my best to bench test it, with various methods, and couldn't seem to find a way that worked. The tach still w…

So my ’71 240z has the dreaded yet common parking circuit contact burn hole. I see that I can get MSA’s updated fuse box for $200 or get a used good condition box with a cover for $100 - $140 shipped. For those of you with the MSA fuse box, does the clear fuse cover still fit over it? So far the few reviews I have seen on the box’s functionality and benefits are very good. Can anyone else speak to the MSA box? I have also seen the Blue Sea ST line of boxes that look very nice and are very affordable. If I went that route I know I would have to relocate the fuse box. I am thinking either making a custom glove box liner to mount the box or just putting it on th…
