Any suggestions for trouble shooting the parking brake light. It does not illuminate when you pull on the parking brake. Have checked the connection and seems ok. All dash lights were recently changed. How do you check the voltage and where? What fuse is the brake line on? Have changed all fuses but no luck.

Hey guys, is there a how-to recurve the Datsun vacuum advance mechanism? What are typical target values? I got a remanufactured Cardone ZX dizzy and would like to play with it a little bit. As far as I understood, there are two screws: - Inner screw for maximum advance (CCW for more maximum advance?) - outer screw for vacuum setpoint to start advance (CCW or CW for sooner start of vacuum advance?)

Something isn't right with the T/S. The turn signal handle will go up ( right turn ), but it won't go down because of the little white block for the horn, as in pic. Where do the T/S tabs hit at ? On the steering column forward of the ball bearings ? I'll find out when I put the plastic clam shell on, shouldn't I ? Thank you very much

I have LED's for most of my lights. Not headlights or dash lights. I have a CF13JL02 3 pin flasher from superbrightled's and a Novita EP35 3 pin flasher. Can I replace my silver pan flashers with these ? The electronic flashers are different brands. Are they the same thing ? Thank you very much.

while replacing my blower fan fuse I noticed the replacements were too long, my guess is its a metric vs standard thing. I have 1/4 x 1 1/4 cooper busman fuses that only have about 1/2 the contact patch it seems like it should. so any idea of a correct way of getting a fuse? http://www.littelfuse.com/~/media/automotive/datasheets/fuses/automotive-aftermarket/glass-fuses/littelfuse_aftermarket_glass.pdf agx or sfe?

Is there a source for newly manufactured harnesses for our beloved little cars. My car is a 75 fuel injected. I found two bad FI connectors today and prefer to replace rather than splice if possible. I hope you guys here can help Thanks Roger

Hey guys, Finally, my late '71 Z is about to be finished. Only a few wiring issues are left - and I have no idea how to solve them. Current situation: I did the ZX alternator upgrade with harness plug instead of the old voltage regulator (seems to work fine). I did rebuild the combination switch (no issues during rebuild, I doubt I did something wrong). Issues: 1. Rear turn signals don't work 2. Front turn signals stay solid (Turn signal switch) 3. Dash turn signal indicators are reversed and solid (means left turn, right dash indicator turns on, left front turn light turns on) 4. Hazard switch turns on both front turn signals (…

Trying to finish the project but I have an electrical problem that I'm been unable to make any progress on. I've had the combo light switch inspected and refurbished as needed. I'm waiting for the turn signal switch to be returned from also being checked. The problems I have seems to be a ground somewhere as the dash lights are very, very weak, bright light indicator does not work, headlights don't work. I have taillights, turn signals, backup lights but when I tighten down the side marker lights , I loose everything. If my switches (light and T/S) are OK then I guess my next step is to pull the dash and check the wiring harness. Where can I find the part number for t…

I stumped, but working through problem solving. A nudge or ideas might help 73 Fairlady Z - recent purchase, just getting it road ready. PO has been restoring for 21 years, not run for at least 4 years. Headlights work; low beam & high beam + rear lights come on Hazard switch works with all 4 lights working If I use the indicators with the hazards on, I can hear the indicator relay also clicking on/off Brake lights work However when I go to use the indicators the headlights come on solid. Clearly something shorting or incorrectly wired.
