ZCON will be back in Nashville next year. I believe the ZCCA is doing Nashville as a 5 year rotation going forward.

So I have been kicking around the idea of taking a day or two off from work in the Fall to check out either Fall Carlisle or Hershey. I was wondering if these events were mostly for American classic cars or if there is a significant presence of vendors selling hard-to-find Datsun parts and other import vehicles? I did see that there were a few vendors at Carlisle Import Nationals in the late Spring, do I just need to wait until then to find Datsun parts? I have never been to the Spring or Fall Carlisle main events but I have always wanted to go - especially if there is other collectibles like old brochures, magazines, auto art, scale model cars, dealer sales books, etc…

Thought I would share a few pix that Mike W sent me from the Carlisle Import and Performance Nationals this week. Nissan has a special presence there this week with the new Z's release approaching & Mike and his gold cup 260z were invited as part of a special display. Looks like he joins the ranks of @jfa.series1 with special provenance for their cars ... a very good club to be in! Great shots of the old & the new.. Thanks Mike!!

I just spotted a date comment by Chris Karl on FB. The ZCON 2022 dates are July 25-30, Birmingham, Alabama. He noted that the website should go up this week. The judged car show will be an indoor event per pics he has posted.

Datsun ... We are Driven Myself and Zup live up to that slogan! Departed Saturday morning with a overnight stop in Amarillo Tx. Had some great steak at the famous Big Texan. Off the next day to complete the trip to Colorado Springs, (about 1600 miles roundtrip) arrived safely with minimal bugs embedded in the front end in the afternoon. Got a little dicey going over the high pass south of Colo Springs, all the carbed cars I saw struggled with the altitude change and Zups flat tops were no exception. CO and Wayne came in Wed night and we had another steak dinner Thursday. Zup's son and his girlfriend were at Zcon which was great for him. All in all,…

Last week was the big annual spring meetup in Branson MO. It was a great time, taken to a all new level by the leadership of the Ozark Z Club.... Thanks Josh There were cars, there were beverages, there was entertainment, but most of all.... the was FOOD! If you ever need to host a event with food, tap into the Wodopian clan and Scott M for advice. These guys know how to plan and execute with the best in the business! Did I mention there was food... Last year we had a summit meeting and Zup coined the phrase geeZers and the founding group was born. Only 2 rules, you must be 55+ and own a genuine Z car. Mike brought his brother Paul and his son down f…
