Does anyone have any idea about how to restore a 240Z steering wheel? I just picked up a used on in fairly worn shape. I know that www.datsunrestore.com offers a service, but I am kind of interested in doing it myself.

Anyone know what brand steering wheel I have? I love it, think it looks perfect, I was just wondering. I need to get the bottom sewn up though, it's starting to split.

Well I got these seats from Craigslist yesterday, I have been keeping an eye out for some as the seats I had in there need to be redone... Waddya think? And should I do the steering wheel?? I can't decide...

As I posted in another thread, I had a new custom hatch strut built using the old hatch bracket and the body L bracket by LS Technolgies in Canada. The strut cost me $88, plus shipping. (306) 683-5000 Steve Fenner is the fellow's name. So here's some pictures. The first picture shows 3 struts. The top strut is the Rock Auto GM Replacement strut. Second is the LS Tech Strut. Third is an original strut. The movable shaft is just about the same width and length as the original. The GM Strut shaft is thinner. The LS Strut has a bolt coming out the back end of the strut. Trying to install a cd/radio deck in our 78 280z. Looks like console needs to come out- removed all screws I could find but still seems quite attached to floor. Ideas? Thanks! John

Anybody using one of these wheels in your Z? How do you like it? I am looking at replacing my stock '78 280Z wheel with one. Will the smaller wheel at 13.8" increase steering effort? http://www.ltbmotorsport.com/steeringwheel.html Probably looking at the Prototipo, Monte Carlo, Mod 7 or Mod 78 in 13.8" diameter with hub adapter 3503. I just starting noticing that everytime I close my drivers side door the window glass rattles. It has gotten alot worse in the last few weeks. The glass is down by the way, since it's still pretty warm in TN. I was going to pull the door panel this week but wanted to know from the experts or those with more knowledge what I should be looking for. Thanks for any help. Randy

I have brought home a 73 240z and it has a Weathershield sunroof. This type of sunroof is a folding type with a vinyl outer skin and a leather inner. I kind of like the look, but am worried as to how well it will keep out the wind,noise and water. any opinions are a great help. Dan

This is the shape/diamnetions of a recaro seat that my friend is selling. when i measured my stock seat it seems very close to me. my stock seat bottom is about 21.5" wide (probably flattened out from 31yr use) and about 32" tall, width of the seat seams to be a tad wider but there seems to be room. Can anyone who has done a swap look at these measurements and know if it'll fit (obviously with some fab work for rails) Real pic of seats here: Thanks!

Hi, 240 Z, 1973: Is there a kind of cover under the dash (passenger side), to hide the fan blower motor and the "electrial stuff" on the outer right side? How does it look like, if there is one? Thanks in advance Juergen
