Hi All, I'd like to find out how well the 134 system offered by MSA cools. It is my understanding that a 134 system has to be larger to provide the same cooling that an R-12 system provides. I imagine that the MSA 134 kit uses the same sized components as the R-12. Has anyone used both? I used to have a "factory" R-12 system in my '71 240Z and it was great. It used to blow air so cold that fog came out of the vents. Have any of you found that the newer systems run as cold/comfortable? I'm looking at getting a new system because the old one needs to be replaced. Thanks, Jim

and in order to do that, I had to remove the door panels. No big deal, right? Well it wasn't, until the dreaded conditions of While I'm At It and What The Hell combined. The car is SO much LOUDER without interior body panels... I found rust, of course. Some in the door panels, mainly on the window guides, and some under the toolbox area, below the speaker area. None of it appears to be too bad, though we all know looks can (and often are) deceiving.

remember the cargo nets? Looks like fish netting. Was it ever an option on the Z? I remember lots of domestic hatchbacks having them. So I think I might be able to get on on the deck of my car to keep the stuff back there under control., especially since there's not too many place to put stuff with the spare back there. I would probably attach it to/under the chrome strip along the front of the deck and some hooks & velcro straps along the back. where can you get those? The only place I found one was jcwhitney.com thx

The seat-belts, (webbing, buckles, chrome ends) on my car are still in servicable condition so I'm going to use them as is. I'm not sure how I feel about a non retractable belt but time will tell. In the picture below, the webbing will NOT move or adjust through the area identified by the arrow. Is it supposed to? The matching seat-belt for the other seat won't adjust either but the buckle mechanism is located on the belt at a different position, (further down the belt). Sure hope this makes some sense! The other picture has the DOM stamped on the patch which I thought was pretty cool. If anyone with experience with these belts could shed some light, I'd appreciate…

Hey guys, the automatic shifter T-handle on my 260Z is pretty grim looking, and has a crack. I'd like to replace it and was wondering if any later Nissans (or other) used the same handle or something really close. Neither MSA nor Black Dragon lists these as available either, can they be bought new from anyone? Thanks Fred Tampa, FL '74 260Z 2+2

Ah today is May Day in Grenada . I beleive it is meant to be a Trade Unionist version of Labour Day. The long and the short of it is ; its a HOLIDAY!! Which makes it a Z day! To make it extra special my wife returned home last night from Miami with a host of ebay toys for my project. I received some interior components that i was missing. .. The knobs for the temperature controls, a few console lights, and the panel on the drivers side for my trunk , you know stuff to fill up the holes. Unfortunately the airline would not let my door panels fly with her to Grenada , even though when contacted by phone they assured us they would. So not finished with the interior …

on the passenger's seat door the handle is missing the two caps to cover the exposed bolt on both sides, is this something i can find at motorsport, or is salvage the best place to find it? ill try to get pictures of it up i know my explanation is a little vague.

I just finished modifing my console for a bouble din avic d3. I no longer will have a choke and i have modified my def switch to have the light in the switch like the hazard switch. This gave me the room for the double din. I have an internal antenna for Fm so i will use that switch place for my driving lights.

Does anyone know if the bolt in roll cage for the datsun z has a harness bar on it. The roll cage can be purchased at www.thezstore.com if u did not know. Thanks in advance guys.

I think I got them about a year ago when they did the initial run. I wanted stock looking, but lighted dials. Just got them put in the car and working today. I do need to straighten out the speedo though, and I might need to paint the needles with glow in the dark paint, although you can see them in the actual car. I took all the stock lights out.
