Several of mine have cracks that are inconspicuous when the panel is not bent; maybe even invisible. But I haven't had much luck in getting a repair to stick to the back side. Ideally I'd just be applying some thin material across the back that would keep the panel from flexing at the crack, and discourage spreading. Scratching up the back of the panel with sandpaper and then applying epoxy and a patch -- the patch came off. Shoe/upholstery-type stuff (rubber-cement-style) didn't work well either. Would appreciate suggestions on both an adhesive and a material to use as a patch. Duct tape is the best I've done so far. Fiberglass??? Many thanks, Steve.

I've purchased both new seat foam & covers. I methodically removed the covers from my old seats. During this I noticed some things: 1. Upon removing the old foam I noticed a bar with an attached sliding bar with two rings in the back of the inside part of the seat. They weren't attached to anything & were located about where the seat back foam & headrest foam meet. What is its function? 2. The seat covers from Classic Datsun do not have the metal wire that runs through the end of the vinyl where they clip onto the bottom of the seats. It appears to me that this wire is necssary to provide additional support to the vinyl while under stress of the the b…

I have a friend that works at a decal manufacturer-- he can make me a decal for my small defroster sticker, flat black with white lettering. I know it won't be exact, but probably 99% accurate reproduction. Is there any interest here for a reproduction? Does anyone know of anyone already selling this sticker? I've never found it and I'd rather just go buy it, but I'm willing to get this done. What is a fair price for this sticker? I was thinking $10 (includes shipping). Please lets discuss! Everyone have a good week!

Here are some pics of the black leather cover I've been working on. I will have another one shortly in a color that is very close to the wood grain color on the originals. (

I'm working on upgrading the stereo in my car and have made a custom speaker box that fits behind the seats in front of the shock towers. I put in a pair of brand new Sony Xplod 10" subwoofers with 300W rms and 1200W max output. What size amp should I use with these speakers? Is there a particular wire I should use to go from the amp to the speakers? Guage, construction etc..? I currently have a Sony CD player with 5" speakers in the front and 6X9's in the rear. Should I use some type of electronic crossover even if the 5" & 6X9's won't be going through the amp? Thanks
