I'm planning to remove my door trims to have them refurbished. Removal will involve undoing the door lever, armrests etc (something I've not done before). Will I be able to leave the car in a driveable state while the trims are away being spruced up? ie, will I still be able to open, close, lock the door and drive the car without the trims?

Put the Leather Scat ProCar seats from my '82 280ZXT into my '72 240z. Lumbar support is a beautiful thing!

Has anybody done this? Is this frowned upon in a stock class show car? I have an extra 72 dash I'd like to have restored instead of having to take out the one out of my car while waiting for it to come back - could be a long time. How would you do it? Im assuming carefully drill out the rivets then use a rivetting tool? Never riveted so if sombody has I'd be interested in how it's done. Also - JustDashes or DashRestorations - whose work is closer to factory original? I want to find out on my 72 before having it done on my 70. thanks in advance guys...

Does anyone know the reason Datsun raised the last 6 inches or so of the rear decks on the early 1977 280Z only? Do you suppose it was to keep things from sliding into the access panel for the tail lights? If so, why would they change design in mid year (77) back to the flat deck. My 1978 had the flat rear deck just like the 240Z. Vicky

I ordered an interior kit from Motorsport about 2 months ago. They have not been able to deliver these pieces. Where else can I go to get the rear shock towers, etc. blue vinyl? :surprised

What is the best approach to restoring the wood wheels? What is the best process? What is the color of the stain? I noticed that on some of the restored 240s (see picture) that there is high-gloss finish. Did they come from the factory with such a finish? (My son took this picture of #33 of the 42 Nissan restored cars when it was for sale on the showroom floor at Peak Nissan, here in the Denver area 7 or 8 months ago).

My brother is giving me all of his stereo equipment from his old car. He is also helping me with the installation (he just got married and does not use this car anymore). What a great guy! For the front he is giving me 2 4" speakers. I know this has been covered 100000's of times in all of the Z forums but I need help finding a good place to put the speakers in the front. I know that people have put them in the doors (last resort) and in the console on both sides and under the dash. I am most interested in the last two options. I have read alot about this being done but I am a visual learner. Does anybody have any pictures of their setup in the front? This is going to be …

Hey guys, i finally got around to installing my Grant wooden steering wheel which i like!, but the problem is, i cant get the damn thing straight! when i drive straight, the wheel is a little to the left. then i stop and correct it, then it is to the right...and there is no space between. i guess what i should be looking at is another adjustment point? the only two things i can think of is the beginning of the steering collum after the rubber bushing, and closer to the rack, but im scared moving those one notch will move the wheel way to much... any options guys?

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone knows what is the original interior mirror for a '72 240Z. I have two of them. One is a IKI brand made in Japan, the other is very similar but is a Ever wind brand with nothing mentionning where it was made. Anyone has a clue ?

This is a dumb question. I reupolstered the seats and when I put them back in, the pasenger seat doesn't go back as far as the drivers seat. This may have been the case before but I didn't realise it. Does the passenger side go back as far or not?
