i'm trying to find some non retractable shoulder harness seatbelts for my '71 240. the few i've seen in the local junkyard are worthless. are there any aftermarket belts out there that aren't too expensive as i will be replacing them later when i install a racing seat. how about something i can use in conjunction with my existing lap belts. they are in great shape. thanks for the help.

Any one ever made aluminum door panels for there z? I noticed that a 1969 Ferrari Daytana Race car had aluminum door panels and I started thinking that it could be interesting to do to my 260z. You could make the panel by tracing the original door panel and also us it for the template for the correct placement of holes for the window crank etc.

Well, I have had this problem since I purchased my 280Z back in November, and I am finally getting a chance to pull the dash and check out the wiring for my three right hand gauges.... See.. the gauges work fine... but the lights like to come on and off frequently... its rather odd and doesn't help at all at night... What I really want to know of is just anything I should look for when I pull the dash... any specific wires or what have you that could be causing my problems... thanks a ton everyone! -ZZZap

I've replaced my map light a few times on my 76 Z and was wondering if any one knew a better way to fix it. The bulb is fine just seems like a bad design the way you push down to turn it on. Also any one have any experience in putting a bigger watt bulb in the dome light? Thanks

I'm looking to pad my THIN '71 240Z seats. I can only find foam seat inserts at MAS or Datsun Restore. The prices are $86 and $90 respectively. I assume these are the identical product both sell. Are these two sources my only option? Alternately, is there a later seat that fits properly and is cost effective? I don't race my Z and am only looking for comfort and style to match the period of this car.

Does anyone know of a pattern I could use to cut material to make 240z seats? I have the red interior and it is impossible to find the seat covers, but my friend just got rid of a red leather sofa that matches perfectly. any info would be great! Thanks, Brian S

Ok so I've been searching the net for some replacement gauges to fit in my new fiberglass dash from PDK Fabrication. I'm looking for something that is going to have somewhat of a period feel so no 5" Autometer MonsterTach w/shift light for me... I found a pair of classic-looking speedo & tach I liked from Smiths (yes THE British Smiths, now doing a lot of Cobra gauges at the moment) The US distributor's website: http://www.gaugeguys.com/Smiths/Authentic/Classic/speedotach.htm I've looked at VDO and while their gauges are as plain jane as you get, that does give them a lit bit of a timeless feeling to them... There's the British company SPA which does make dual readout…

I have a spare console for a 240Z that I bought a while back site unseen. It is in good condition, no cracks etc. It does have a pair of switches between the ashtray and the shift boot. I can email a pic if somebody is interested. Devin
