Anyone know the thread/pitch of the two big anchor bolts for the seat belt in 1gen? I have a 5-gallon bucket of bolts and have tried every one and there is one that is 'close' but feels loose and the next one up won't thread int he hole. Is this an odd one? steve

I've been busy POR15'ing my floorpans and the work has progressed nicely. I've added some Dynamat and I'm ready to install some heat insulation that I picked up at Pep Boys called "thermo shield". I think it's similar to the stuff that places like MSA sell but this was only $20 for a 4'x6' roll. It's an insulation material bonded to aluminum on one side. My question ... which side goes down? I'm assuming that the foil side goes down but the installation instructions only say to put in in place with adhesive.

I am looking for the furthest back panel on the driver's side for my 240. This is the one the hatch strut lower mount hides behind. My strut broke off of its mount, damaging the panel in the process. If anybody has one in good condition, please contact me. Devin aka 72240Z

there is a guy selling used tenzo r rally racing seats. he says that he has only used them i monthe in his 02 civic. he says he paid 1600 bucks and now wants $800. this seems high right? i looked on a website with them and it said $200 american each. that does not come close to 1600. do you think that they would fit in my 71 z? i am going to see them at 4 today. any ideas would be nice.

I recently purchased a '74 260Z that had the original radio replaced. When pulling the center console out (it is damaged and needs to be replaced) I noticed that nothing but the console faceplate is holding the radio in. I'm assuming that some sort of bracket should be there. Am I correct? I'd like to know exactly what I'm looking for if I need to replace something. Thanks!

Thought it was about time I joined in the forumagain so here it goes. All questions relate to the Series 1 240Z. 1. I can't find any drawings or pictures to show me how the tools fit in the tool boxes. What were the standard tools supplied and were there any additional options that could be specified ? 2. I think a set of spanners were supplied - how many and what are the sizes ? (has anyone got a spare set I could buy please ?) 3. How were the tools held in place inside the boxes ?

This sounds like a stupid topic I assume, but I do NOT want to scratch or damage my 280Z dash which only has one small crack in it. I searched the forums and didn't find anything. Anyhow, I have a replacement "Datsun 280Z" emblem for my dash, and was wondering what the best way of removing it is. I was thinking of heating it with a hairdryer and trying to pry it off? Maybe squirt some goo gone or 3m adhesive remover on it? Any suggestions? Thanks, - Brandon
