Hiya guys, This isnt too Z related but may still concern people with Zs. I just inherited a 1973 Triumph 2500TC and it has beatiful while vinal seats. One problem. In Australia, vinal seats+bare thighs+30degrees C=thighs stuck to seat! I was wondering what type of seat covers would suit this type of car, or what you have. And i dont want those cheap ricer ones with dragons or 'NOS' written on them. This could refur to Zer's because vinal seats were an option in Zs and white vinal was avaliable in America(i think)... In case you didnt know... Cheer'z' Chris

I've been busy working on my inner door panels. As I've mentioned here before my car was originally #113 green with a tan interior but had been re-painted a couple of times before I bought it in 1985. At that time it was silver with a black interior. I'm now converting the interior to gray and spent a lot of time removing the old black vinyl dye (which was in bad shape) with acetone before using SEM dye to turn it gray. Sometime in the past (probably when the interior was changed to black) the foil trim on the panels went missing. I used a trick mentioned somewhere here in the past of using a polished piece of metal tape cut to the proper width. They actually came o…

Hey y'all. Hows it going??. I need to fix my door panals on a 1980 280Zx and I dont know how to go about it. Should I just buy new panals from somewhere and where would I get them, or should I go out and buy some vinal or carpet and do it myself, and how would I go about doing that. The interior color is blue. If you have any Ideas on what I should do with them or how I should do it let me know. Thanks, Steve:stupid:

What kind of stuff can you do to the dash cap to reduce glare and reflections off the windsheild? Since you can't get mouse-fur, some kind of cover, like orange shag? thx

Anybody have any suggestions on how to refinish the metal panel on the dash that covers the defroster outlets. The one on my 72 is kind of grungy and no amount of scrubbing seems to help it. It seems to be textured below the black surface. I wonder if anybody has repainted theirs? Thanks in advance. Chris

Hi guys I need to replace the gray seat-belts in the '77 280Z. Of course they MUST be red! Did Datsun ever have red seat-belts in any of their early Z's. If not, do you think that dyeing is an option? If they are available should I give Mid-West Z a call? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated:classic: Vicky

If you could put one item on the dash as a decoration, what would it be? I think I would get either a golden bobblehead tiger, or a Taco Bell bobblehead dog.

My sunvisor is a bit loose and hitting a bump usually brings it down. Is there any way to tighten it a bit? I really don't want to use velcro strips on the roof lining to keep it up. Cheers

Has anyone done a succesful restore on original carpet? My carpet ('78 280) is in super shape, just faded to that red/brown color from the original black. Is there a good carpet dye out there. I had a previous post I picked up for a VHT product, but it appears to have been a vinyl dye. Thanks, ecp48
