I know there are quite a few threads on this subject already, so apologies for that, but has anyone any experience of these replacement seat cover kits currently on Ebay? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170861451633?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 They look a better finish than the MSA kits, which dont get the best reviews, but I would like to know from someone who has used them before I am pressing the Buy it now button, thanks.

I have a Nissan brand new in the box key set for a 280Z, it includes ignition, doors, hatch and glove box. I don't have a 280 and would like to get it someone who does, what would be a right price for something like that? I am a 240 guy so I am not sure what 280 guys would pay. Once I come up with a price I will list the set in the classified section.

Hi Everyone, I hope some of you early Z gurus can help me. I'm chasing my tail trying to figure out the original configuration of the carpet/jute/mat in the hatch area of my car. The car is a 6/70 car, VIN 6040, and I'm trying to restore it very close to original. What was in the car when I bought it was a heavy rubber mat glued to the trunk floor. A loose jute mat was on top of this and carpet (without insulation/jute) was on top of this. The trunk floor had remnants of glued velcro towards the rear on either side. The carpet also had velcro sewed to the bottom of the carpet in the same locations. Pictures of these pieces are attached. My confusion is that the ve…

Anyone have a solution on how to fix my Rpm gauge? The problem is it jumps all the way to like 8 just from turning the car on. and once we start driving, it max's out and stays there. Until we turn it off. Another thing is. When i use the turn signals it drops down to about 6-7 and jumps up and down as the turn signals click. I have no idea how it is connected. But i do have the electrical diagram and can read it. i just dont know what to do to it. maybe it needs a new gauge? its shorting? i dont know. Please help thanks. :stupid:

I have an early 260 and am looking at new carpet for it. I plan to go with the loop pile in a light tan, and replace the vinyl on the tunnel, back wall, and shock towers. I have seen sets in both molded and a sectional version. I would like to get some feedback on what other have used, why you chose the molded or sectional, how each fit, and your thoughts on it once installed. If you have photos to share too, that would be great! I am mostly interested in photos of the molded ones, and the fit on the shock towers. I have seen many photos of the sectional kits installed, but not the molded ones. Thanks!

The door panels in my 240z were cut up to install some speakers. I have always liked the look of the 280z door panels witht he pleats in them and the more useable handles as arm rests. I know the handles would need mounting hardware welded to the inside of the door but I am curious would the door panels work with little or no modification? Anyone ever try this?

Anyone else buy one of these (Code: 40-3401A)? First I do appreciate someone taking the initiative to produce these. Nevertheless, the chrome work could have been done better. For the $270 I paid for a piece of plastic with a few cents worth of chrome, I think it shouldn't look out of the box like a panel that's been in a car for 20 years. The chrome work is not first class. Unfortunately this is probably the only option available outside of finding a Nissan part somewhere. My primary complaint is with the lettering. The lettering looks worn and thin. I haven't decided whether to return it or not. You can get some optional decals for later styles ($25), which I also purch…

Obligatory steering wheel porn: I found the steering wheel on Craigslist late last week. It is the style I've seen a few times and absolutely loved. Most of the other Nardi wheels are tri-spoke with the spokes evenly distributed around the steering wheel. I attached it to my MSA billet Grant adapter with a 16 ga sheet metal adapter I made. It took me around 3 to 4 hours to make the adapter since I was using a Dremel, drill, drill press, and die grinder. However, it can be done.

My vinyl seats are beginning to seperate at the threaded areas. About 3 places about 3-4 inches long. I have thought about trying to sew the seams back together but not really sure if this is even possible. Also, I have a few small rips in the head liner and thought they might also be able to be repaired with some sort of vinyl repair kit. Not looking for perfection here but somethng that will not be very noticeable. Any expereince or advice would be appreciated.
