This may sound like a dumb question. Is there any way to remove the clips found in our cars that have the plastic stick/pin in the middle and not lose the pin? Removing it seems rather obvious, use a small punch to push the pin through and pull the clip out. However one is left to find the pin as it falls out and usually disappears forever. I am tempted to replace all of mine with the small nail head style clips, that way you pull the pin up and remove the clip. Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.

underneath the carpet in the luggage area, facing to the front of the shock towers and behind tool compartment, are two holes that look like speaker holes. The P.O. had sheet metal riveted over top of them, covering them up. Is there a reason for these? Can they be covered and welded closed? Thank you, Timsz

I found a kit on Ebay that takes the choke off the center consol and relocates it to the top of the transmission tower. The kit came in the mail and I noticed it was from Art Stringer of Nissan Sport Mag. He did a great job with this kit, it has great instructions and is really a simple. Once I put the center back on it will look the same as it did coming from the factory but it will not break the center consol. It was mailed to me all for under $25. I will install it this week and try to take pictures; I have never had much success posting pictures on this forum in the past. So far I highly recommend this kit.

Hi all, When something works out well for me, I like to share it with y'all. My stereo system recently went (somewhat) south. It wasn't a very good system, and it turns out the PO had miswired it, with the two-channel power amp driving two full-range speakers PLUS one subwoofer that was wired across the two. Strange. Anyway, that killed the little amp. My goal in re-doing the system was to achieve clean sound with respectable power, but not to create a system that would shatter windows in the neighborhood. My listening tastes are very eclectic -- classical, jazz, rock, more jazz, folk, even more jazz, and lastly... jazz. What I was retiring: -- The power amp (c…

The door striker on the driver's side of my 1973 240z need help. It's secured by one nut, the rest sheared off at some point in the car's history. Well, I decided to start working on it tonight and removed the one good nut then removed the striker and its component pieces. I see, however, that the assembly was screwed into something on the inside of the door frame. So do I need to remove that little dog-leg interior panel to get to all that hardware? What's the safest way to do that? Anyone have any pictures of what I can expect to see on the backside of that door frame? Any assistance on this is appreciated. S

I replaced a non-operational C/D player in my 73 with an original AM/FM radio. I'm guessing the "installer" used self tapping screws to hold the escutcheon plate on but it looks to me like the screw holes are threaded. What size do I need?

I just got this car in January and since it only has 34,000 original miles, I'm wanting to bring it back to absolutely original condition (or as original as possible) so I switched back to a stock steering wheel that I refinished. Any idea what the Racemark is worth? I know they haven't been made in quite a while and I have no idea how long it's been on the car but it's in nearly perfect condition. It also has the adaptor hub and the Z horn button that worked when I took it off, last Saturday. It's period correct for the '75 I know, it's just not what I'm looking for with this car. I'm really not much of an Ebay'er and I'd really rather someone have it that is rebuil…

Hello all, I have a pair of seats from my '72 Z hanging out in the garage. They are quite beat up but i'm pretty sure everthing on them works. They are taking up too much space and I have decided I will not be using them in my project, so if anybody out there needs and parts im giving you guys a chance to speak up before they head to the dump. If anybody is interested in parts or whole, let me know and i can post some pictures. If you are, all i ask is the cost of shipping.
