Does anyone with a '78 280Z have a good picture of what the passenger kick panel should look like? My driver's side has a black plastic cover, however on the passenger side there is nothing but the fusebox surrounded by black fiberboard.

Hi everyone, I got myself a parts car today and thought i was getting a mint dash but noticed some bubbling at the top when I cleaned it up and looked at it more carefully. I have a couple of questions. First, is there a way to smooth out the bubbling? (The dash has no holes or cracks) Second, will this dash be a direct fit into my 1976 280z? (Keep in mind that the one in the parts car is from a late 260z which looks like the 280z dash, not the 240's. Thank you for any help or suggestions.

I did some searching but didn't find a solution. The carpets are not held down in any way and slide all over the place. The new floorboards are clean and covered with Dynamat sound proofing. I have replacement carpets from MSA with jute stuck to the back. I need to secure the carpets. I was thinks of putting in an eyelet in the carpet under the front edge of the seats and a hook on the seat mounting rail. I also think a saw a product that you can spray on a material surface to rubberize it. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated. The 73 240 is almost ready to put on the road for the first time in 29 years, I should have insurance in two or three days. I’m very exci…

There must be threads about this but im a lazy arse so i start a new one. I removed front panel from my 240Z and now planning to restore it the best i can. Chromes from the side are okay but the texts have turn to green and there is green spots here and there. With what should i overpaint this? Did it originally have gloss, semi gloss or matt paint? Should i prime it first before actual paint? Have never done this with plastic.

Hello all The dome light in my Z recently stopped working. I checked all the fuses (all but the radio one is fine, I don't own a radio so, its not needed). I check the wire connection to the light and they're all clean and nice. I replaced the bulb and nothing, no light, nada. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Jan

Ok,...I need to replace the door panels in my 240Z. I have looked at all the major venodrs and no one seems to offer them. I have seen sets on eBay priced at $400.00 +. Kind of out of my budget right now. Where can I find a set of door panels without having to take out a second mortage?

I need to paint the metal trim piece that goes between the dash and the windshield. Is the stock color semi-gloss black?

Put some 8 inch speakers in the back behind the stock Interior panels. They are a tight fit to say the least. I had to remove and bypass the evaporation tank to make room.

I thought the antenna drain grommet, inner fender seals and cowl drain grommets were well tucked away... but did you know a small rubber lives inside the door and is a rest for the window when fully lowered? Here it is and also where it goes: See the bracket/stand-offon the bottom of the door with the rectangular hole? That is where in mounts. Another shot: I saw a photo of a rubber wire-tied there but I cna not find it now.
