The new vinyl is in. I still have a few bumps to rub out but I'm happy..... I put in the new rugs to see what it would look like. It was a lot of work to get the MSA kit to fit well, I had to pull and stretch and heat the material but in the end it fit OK.

A while back I purchased a restored 1978 280Z. The car looks great, inside and out, except for a poorly installed full face dash cap. The cap fits well, except in the area around the trip odometer reset and dimmer control knobs, where it gaps by almost ¾ inch. In fact, it fits so poorly that you can’t even install the two knobs. This has been bothering me ever since I received the car, so last week I thought I'd remove the existing cap, prep the dash properly and install a new one. I had no problem removing the old cap, as the double sided tape used to install it had long since lost its grip. The dash was in bad shape as I expected, but I really couldn’t find a…

Just bought new door lock key cylinders (unfortunately made in Hong Kong "ChingYing" on the key). -Installed and they won't lock or unlock the door. -Tried to swap the old lock lever and it would unlock but not lock the door. -Do I need to lengthen the linkage bar a touch? It seems that I need more "throw" to acivate the lock/unlock. Thanks, GIchiro

Does anyone have experience with the replacement seat foam offered online? I'd like to replace the driver side bottom seat foam because it has flattened, and not sure if this is an easy replace or not.

I accidently plug the wrong connector on the fan unit (6 wires) and fried the coil thingy. Any one know what it does? Also, any idea where I can get another one?

Hey guys, it's been a good long while since I've posted a question in here, but I'm hoping somebody here can point me in the right direction. When I bought my car, it came with a RAID brand steering wheel that has slowly been disintegrating/wearing out year by year. I'm finally looking to put something more modern on it, but I'm not in the mood to drop the $$$ for a brand new RAID or NARDI wheel. That being what it is, I've decided that I want to put a Grant wheel adapter on there, but this (obviously) entails removing the old hub adapter/spacer so I can put a new one on. I'm down to the point where there's nothing else that bolts off (wheel's gone, spacer's gone), bu…

I have this little hook that is about shoulder height just behind the passenger door of my '73 240z. Any idea what purpose this served? Should I assume there was supposed to be one on the driver's side too? If so, if anyone has a spare one they'd like to get rid of, please let me know. Thanks!

Anyone have luck stopping the plastic interior panels from creaking? I'm not really into placing torn match book wedges all over the place. Can I take the panels off and use some sort of rubber lining or spray to quite down the creaking? Helping mom out to quite down the 280z.

The speedometer in my 73' doesn't work and I was going to replace it with the one out of my 71'. What is the box that the arrow is pointing at? What if it isn't used?

Driving around in the beautiful weather today I noticed how freakin hot my dash gets (and it is only 80 degrees out). It is in mint condition with no cracks at all. What is the best way to keep it this way? Should I get a dash carpet? Cap? Some sort of protectant and pray that it still does not crack? How about the reflective windshield shades? Thanks!
