Hey, check out some pictures I just uploaded on my tranny swap out. It was a total overhaul. New clutch, pressure plate, bushings, etc, etc, etc. Take a real good look at the transmission mount - new urethane bushings that replace the totally destroyed rubber ones. And look closely at the machined flywheel - there's two extra holes because it was balanced.

All, It is yet again with sad regret that I have to sell another 240K coupe Unfortunately this time it is a must, don't we all wish we could be millionaires. Firstly, the 240K coupe is completely original, I have rust proofed/treated all surface rust and coated on a thin layer of filler to finish which is sanded back and primed, the areas requiring further attention is around the rear screen (couple of small holes) and the bonnet underside front left corner. The body is extremely straight, not one dent. It has a Nissan dealer fitted sunroof, the interior is very good but one hole in carpet (drivers footwell). No holes in the floorpan, very strong. The console, dash,…

Hi all, My friend just got his web site up and running and asked me to introduce it to the world. Ha ha! Like I know the world . . . . Anyway, he wants to have foreign people visit his web site and is interested in Skylines in foreign countries. His is a 1970 Skyline 4 door with an RB26 motor in it and the "ultra rare" "Yayoi" sakura design wheels. Very clean car. And here's the link: http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~toyaworks/index.htm Sorry - all in Japanese but you can filter it through a translator.

Okay, on to my next problem The car is now idleing well, and managed to drive it 35km today without it dying once (that alone is an achievement!). The car is an Auto. Apart from some over-fuelling issues (the carb is totally full, the float is up, but it hasn't stopped the fuel from flooding the carb, i am running the stock fuel pump, and an inline 5-7psi electric pump, the guy said it wouldn't make a difference seeing as i needed 4psi) The problem i am now getting is the car is overheating, when i say overheating, it is right up to the last mark on the temp guage before it hits 130.. The scary thing is.. this is happening when driving at 100km/h on a freeway! I have…

Hi Guys, this is directed for those (un)fortunate to own an auto. Does anyone know what the actual capacity of the gearbox is? every manual i can find states 5.5L but, after i drained mine (and replaced the filter, the gearbox is immaculate btw!). I am stumped on the capacity? The only way which i could work out to fill the thing was through the dipstick, so i poured 5Ltrs down it, and that overfilled the tube.. i then spent the day suctioning out the fluid by syringe (3hrs of fun!), until it got down to around 2.5L. When you check the dipstick, should the engine be running or hot? or just cold? i just don't want to put too much in and have it blow up on me

I was wondering why the car was driving so poorly.. Originally when i bought the car, i drained the tank, it contained a thickish red/brown liquid which vaguelly past for oilly fuel.. So i drained thiscrap from the tank and filled it up with some nice clean ULP (with valvemaster additive)... the car had been running okay, but when it got onroad, the car has really been running quite badly.. noticed on the weekend that the fuel filter was once again filling with red/brown gunk so i pulled the fuel tank out and drained it.. (a waste of $50 of fuel ) It looks like the fuel has once again been coverted to mud! Anyone got any ideas with what or how i can flush the fuel ta…

I happened across a 1977 240k auto sedan outside a wreckers in Riverstone NSW this afternoon. Although it is all original, gold with black interior, and all there, it is in very sad shape, a lotta rust. Been sitting outside with windows down for years by the look. I noticed it still had the original NISSAN ignition key, petrol cap key and boot key. It's also got aircond. Good dash, steering wheel, black front passenger seat, rear lower cushion seat. I was told it will go to scrap next Tuesday 14th Sept. as the yard is too full of old cars. There are two more 240k's in the yard, I didn't see them but was told one is a coupe the other a sedan, with various parts stored in t…

Well guys, yesterday i finally got the charity rally beast on the road, all bluslip'd and insured Finally got to give the thing a blast around the streets, the brakes are still a bit dodgy (the front disks are still rusty, i havn't got them machined yet), the car is pinging it's nuts off and the fuel pump seems to be struggling to keep up.. but apart from that it is awesome My friend spent some time playing around with the tune last night, and it is apperantly so much better (havn't drivin it since), though the fuel pump is really having a hard time keeping up now.. for some reason, the pump doesn't seem to be pumping enough to keep enough fuel in the fuel filter, a…
