At the risk of exposing more of my considerable ignorance, I would pose the following: Working with the well-known on-line parts manual, I have come up against an issue of production timing that has me confused, and I am hoping for some enlightenment from this forum. My puzzlement is centered around the period between the start of A/C in Aug ’73 and the end of the Air Pump in Aug. ’74 (dates as per diagrams… are these good?). Part I: Since both apparently occupied the same space (the front lower left side of the block), how were there Air Pump equipped cars provided with A/C? Part II: It is not apparent from the diagram for the Air Pump just how the 3-point br…

Today I had the very dubvirus "pleasure" of replacing the clutch master on the 71, The old one ( marked Nibco Japan and I believe it's the original, For a fact it wasn't replaced at least since the very early 90's )started leaking from the back. Picked one up from Oreillys and pulled the master out, compared the 2 and there is a significant length difference between the two.....the original is about 3/4 of an inch longer. So I need to swap the shafts.....but I got no snap ring pliers on hand, went to a local oil change shop and one of the techs graciously let me use his. Question is...is this a fluke or all the clutch masters sold today are like that?...wr…

I have seen stub axles and axle flanges in a couple of finishes recently. MSA has them for sale refurbished in yellow zinc. Should they be yellow zinc of semi gloss black?

I'm about ready to install a new gasket on my intake/exhaust manifolds and I'm looking for some opinions about the use/need for some kind of high temp gasket sealer.

From Road & Track, here's a compilation of clips celebrating the Z. Can't say I'd want some of these people for neighbors, though!

At least something good came out of that other thread. If anybody has OCD it's the guy with the giant car collection. Funny though, he has no 240Z's. But he does have some 280Z's. Apparently not for sale though. Probably waiting for them to increase in value. http://www.duncanimports.com/all-inventory/index.htm?search=280Z&dl.custom.form.id=&dl.element=BUTTON+Search&dl.formElapsedTime=5244&dl.formTrackingId=INVENTORY_SEARCH&dl.isModal=&dl.params=&dl.widgetName=Try+another+search

What is the hose size on the two coming off the fuel rails to each carb, and also on the inlet and outlet on the mechanical fuel pump. Thank you.

I had a small coolant leak I've been watching for the past year. It was getting moved around by the fan and misting up my engine bay. So today I put a GBM stamped impeller pump that was practically new. I've always considered the OE cast impeller design to be better but after comparing the area of coolant passage in both I'm thinking the GMB has more movement. Any thoughts, opinions? I'd like to hear from you guys please. Doesn't a fan with no restriction on the back side flow more air?

Yes I know it is rare, what is it worth, generally speaking? If you have an opinion, by all means please share it! Thanks, Daniel P.
