I'll be your new guy for the day. I recently acquired a 6/71 240z. It has cancer but not terminal. Front frame rails, radiator support and under the battery, the floors aren't that bad minor patching in front of the pedals. I found an affordable 74 2+2 that is rust free. I'm wondering if I can use from the firewall forward and just replace the entire front of my car. What fits and what doesn't? I'm hoping to keep all of my Mechanicals and exterior panels until I'm ready to paint, which may be a few years. My car is pretty unmolested with original paint. The Internet Is Awesome, thanks for all the help.

I know that there will probably be a large backlash from the community but its my opinion and experience on here, so don't get all hot and bothered from this. I was looking at a rear disc upgrade for my 280z (240sx brakes upgrade). And the price seemed ok enough that it prompted me to buy seeing that most people had good things to say about the company. While I was at it I purchased the 1" Wilwood tandem brake Master cylinder also so that I could put good power to the new brakes and see some improvement. It's been a while since I've posted back on the forum but I wanted to check back in and show some progress of my 11/70 240z. I bought the car about 3 years ago and have done quite a bit of work on it since. I wanted to build a mostly period correct Japanese influenced race car for street use. It's in it's final stages now and I know it might not be some of the purists cup of tea but I know some of you may enjoy it and some of the rare bits and pieces I've compiled together. Hello....New to the site, hope this right page to ask the experts. So....I picked up a winter project. 1972 240z, that has been sitting for 35 years, a "barn find". I have had a few in my day and have been looking for a survivor. The car is all original matching numbers and mostly complete and 98% rust free. But it is ugly, a diamond in the rough. Anyhow.... Howdy, The Antenna mast for my 76 is non-functioning. The motor seems to be working but the mast won't go up. I purchased a donor antenna that has a faulty motor and was going to combine the two. Below is a picture of the antenna that is currently in the car. I've seen a few types of masts and was wondering if anyone can help me identify if this is the original mast for the car? I recently purchased a complete series 1 car...complete except for the rear hatch. Can a series 1 hatch be fabricated from a mid '71 hatch (with vertical defrost) ? I have a '71 hatch. A body shop could easily cut holes to support the hatch vents. It seems like finding a rust free series 1 deck would be about impossible. The body shop can't get me in until July so I have time. i should also mention the donor car i would taking the hatch from is very restorable also which tugs at my emotions a little. Do exhaust fumes enter the cabin through those hatch vents? Thanks

I got 2 keys for $10 from a local locksmith just by calling and giving him the code. Can't believe I haven't done this sooner. One key now for everything but it won't unlock the doors. It tries but just won't make it all the way. Is there any other way to get to the rod that needs to be bent other than removing the door panels? They've never been off and I hate that kind of meticulous gentle work. I'm more of a smash and grab kind of guy. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
