I have searched for the old topic i ones made but can't find it anymore.. So made a new topic and i do have a set of 3 rare (same) parts.. for sale but it aint a cheap.... Here some ultra rare EURO rare licenceplate lighting units... in more or less good condition.. one is without the glass incerts.. sold them many years ago for a few euro.. 1 polished and 2 are in grease.. the polished one is on the rest of the pic's. Those "rings" on the last one is not rust but just a sort of dirt that comes off easely.. ( They , the 2 unpolished ones have a bit of rust on the inside.)

Found a new method for fixing vacuum leak at throttle shafts. Just finished soda blasting and cleaning carbs when I found this.

I have a 1976 280z. I am putting in a new dash and would like to restore the eyeball vents, mainly by stripping/painting the flaked off fake chrome coating. I can remove the round center section but can't figure out how to remove the flaps that open or close the vent. I see how they attach to the round part but without removing the knob I don't know how to get it out Is the knob non removable? Are there aftermarket replacements?

Another lovely early 240Z, Jan 1970, has turned up on BAT. Restored by Pierre and Whitehead over the last decade. Loads of photos which really help me, and others, when we are restoring our cars. As an aid to Newby restorers like myself, could the sage experienced members on this site help picking out what's not done correctly on the car. Not trying to be negative but it really helps to document how things should be restored or how they came as original. I'll start the ball rolling and add photos to show what I'm looking at. There seems to be the wiring cover missing under the dash. The radiator support frame seems to have bee…

By chance does anyone have a list of all the unique parts on the Series I cars? I know that there have been many many discussions over the years that talk about one item or another...even a couple conversations that may list a few of the differences. I have yet to see an exhaustive list of these parts all in one place though. I'll start with what I can think of off the top of my head: fuse box ash tray pillar emblems E31 head "Nissan 2400 OHC" valve cover E31 block map light (no shroud) metal fan (behind radiator) tail light wire harness (has aprox. 1" white molex plug) door key and locks coin holder seats (non-reclyning) toolbox lids coat hangers seat belts steering k…

So I noticed they sell an " inner rocker" but its really a piece (not sure why) that is sandwiched between the outer and inner rocker. I really need the just the real inner part and the front, not the whole rocker. Anyone make it.

Hello everyone! It's been about a year since I purchased #187 from John H. of New York on BAT. Here's the link to the auction. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1969-datsun-240z/ There are many detailed photos of the car on there with a brief description of its history and condition. I was able to enjoy her in her raw state before beginning the restoration. She was a bit hard to start but ran good once she reached optimal temperature. The clutch was slipping a bit and finding the gears heading up the hill to my house was a struggle. With that said, it was time to begin the restoration. My mechanic is no other than Rod S. at Mike's Z Shop in Whittier, CA. Rod has b…

I'm somewhat anxious about this drop in temp. Haven't had the problem since 1989, now it's back. Hopefully there will be no damage if I just stay home. No early morning drives for me. Stay safe friends and have merry Christmas.
