I was not sure how this would turn. But with no one close to do cad. plating I gave it a try. I"m happy with it. He did all the cleaning of the parts and plating Close to me in Escondido ca.

I picked up a 240Z a few weeks ago that came with 300ZX mirrors mounted on the window frame via ugly plates. I'm in the process of removing the mirrors/plates and replacing them with OEM chrome mirrors. Whatever holes that were on the doors previously have been plugged and painted. Can someone tell me the positioning specs for the mirror? Maybe a video that shows the process? Thanks!

I am debating whether or not to take apart the quarter windows and replace the inner glass seal. They appear ok, but are very hard and dry. I dont see that OEM seals are available and I am wondering if others have any experience with the seals that motorsport sells for the quarter window. I hate to tear it apart, take a chance on messing up the trim, and the new seals are a crappy fit. Outer seals are toast. Thanks!

I have a 1978 280z 5 speed. I installed a transmission service kit from Z Car Source of Arizona a while ago. Attached is the order form. Yesterday was the first time I was able to take the car for a long drive. When I get to 2500rpm the clutch slips in 2nd and 3rd gear and I can get no more power until I change gears. Has anyone had issues with this kit. I am a novice in working on cars so any advice on troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated. SO-100005509.pdf

Hi all, I used the VR kit when the car was restored and the drivers side door closes fine but the passenger side is a pita, and I have adjusted the hinges, latch etc for ages but that door simply won't sit properly. The car has never been hit and if I pull the seal it closes perfectly. Has anyone compare the width of the VR and Preciosion seals side by side? I'm hoping the Precision one is a bit thinner. I've searched for any NOS but no go, any feedback would be great. Thanks!

I've searched and searched but could not find an answer to this. I am in the process of a refresh and sent the original, stock radiator to the local rad shop for hot tanking and minor leak repair. When I picked it up, the shop had given it a fresh coat of gloss black paint. I assume that the factory finish was satin black? Anybody know for sure?

I messed up my OE power antenna (bent mast badly). Found a replacement on ebay. Looked perfect right number of sections, harada, same wire colors and bullet connectors to fit my 75. Works fine when powered up with outside source BUT does not use a center tap motor, so you have to reverse the polarity of the wires for up and down, there is NO center tap ground section. The stock radio up down is a SPDT sending B+ to one wire at a time, B- is thru the chassis ground. So it seems like the only solution is TWO SPDT (or more commonly avail DPDT) 12v relays. Each coil will get Ground and one of the existing wires from the harness so each relay will work independently of e…

Hey guys, just picked a 240Z that other than the hideous mirrors is beautiful and in mint condition. The previous owner took years to build this car and really took care of it. Unfortunately his taste in mirrors and how he chose to install them is at the very least, questionable. I've looked into removing the mirror plates and having body shops repairing the rivets and filling the holes. Unfortunately non of the shops guarantee the outcome will be good and want around $1000 for the job. I've also considered replacing the upper window frame but cant find any new or in excellent condition. So now I'm considering keeping the window plates but cutting them down substantially …
