Guys, I have a question about taxation.. My 71 was last appraised 3 years ago for 35k EURO which is around 39k USD. Market values have been rising, and my 240Z is restored although in 2016, since then some new things where done to it, like rebuild hood hinges, and driveshafts and diff mount and straps. She is in good original condition. Everything that can be replaced has been replaced. I e-mailed the company that does my taxations, and they said it very depends, the market in the USA is different, and prices are based on emotions ? But I find it odd, it should be a least on average 66k USD according to hagerty? And when I compare other 240Z on websites like b…

I have a 77 280z and I am wanting to put a new header/exhaust on. My questions..... do I need to remove the intake manifold to remove the exhaust manifold? Any other things I need to worry about when putting on a header vs the stock manifold? Thanks for any info! Jeff

My 70 series 1 has numbers matching engine. One thing that is a little off with this car is the vin on the dash isn't the original vin tag. It's a sticker that was put on there. I doubt the original vin is under it, some how the original was lost or removed. Any ideas how this might have happened? How will this effect the originality of the car? The vin is on the firewall. I believe the plate on the door jam is also missing. Any ideas how this effects this car?

I've been having a hard time with my computer, slow to connect to czcc and everything else too. I read about the newer routers and they reccomend a new one about every 5 years. Mine was bought in 2007! I "straight wired" it with some Cat 5 wire and RJ 45 connectors I had from Y2K roll out I was a part of. It went from 10 MBPS upload to 62. I pay for 50 MBPS from Comcast so it's like I have a new computer. Happy new years present to me the dummy. So I'll be back posting dumb stuff again, prepare yourselves. HAPPY NEW YEAR my best friends. Can't wait for ZCON 2022, right down the road in Birmingham, Alabama. Roll Tide too!

So, I’ve stumbled upon two 240z steering wheels in the past couple weeks during my junkyard explorations. They were really rough but were only $30 so I thought I attempt a home restoration. I thought I’d share my experience in this process. I know there are other posts but I don’t think anyone has posted a wheel that looked as bad as the one I’m restoring. I’ve completed the clean up and strip down. I used a small palm sander for the metal with 240 grit and 320 grit wet sand on the wood. I’ve masked the wood off and will prime, paint and clear coat the metal today. Here is the wheel as it looked after pulling for the rusted Z. It had some green al…

1986 nissan PU truck, pretty decent under hood inspection light, works fine, lens in decent shape. 1991 izusu pickup what looks a lot like a brake proportioning valve. two inputs F and R on the top, a single R on the bottom a F on the bottom and the side even looks like the bolt up location would match for mounting. blew thru it, not plugged. I was thinking of trying to disassemble to see how the slide piston works to operate the switch. the switch looks a bit smaller but i presume it works the same.

Today 7 March 2021 a 240z came up for sale on the dutch marketplace.. ( marktplaats.nl) At first glance a nice car ... but can you see whats totally wrong with it? The flashers are original euro/dutch as are the bumpers. (Wheels are 260z but look very good on it!) On this pic.. it's obvious that the car was (like almost any other original 240z once was) a rustbucket due to the Dutch weather) CAN YOU SPOT IT? Euro km Counter.. Only the seats are 260z? Here a link.. ≥ Datsun 240Z Nederlandse auto - Oldtimers - Marktplaats.nl

Gentle Readers: As my '77 280Z FSM does not note it, I wonder if some would know the Factory specification of Resistance, in ohms/foot, of replacement spark plug wire. Bonus thanks for anyone that can identify the wire configuration (wire core, carbon core, fibreglass core, etc.) of the original Production wires. I thank you for your attention.
