I started working on the front suspension of my car and found some rot that looks structural. I have never really worked on cars so I was wondering if some of you might chime in and tell me how bad it really is and can it be fixed\. From what I can tell the rust is isolated to the drivers side front. The passenger side and trunk only have minor surface rust but seem to be in good shape. Also the floor boards seem to be in good shape on both sides. I do not have the skills to do this myself and I am very nervous bringing it to someone as I want it done right and not half arse. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think. By the way, does anyone know of a…

This organization posted to the Datsun 240Z Classifieds page on FB yesterday. Does anyone have experience with their products? In addition to the pictured stainless steel 240Z bumpers with rubber strips, they also offer the bumper without rubber (and the holes) per an email exchange I had with them. Looking for some feedback on quality and fit. Thanks, Jim http://bumperautomobile.com/

Hey, everyone I'll try to make this as short as possible, but there is a lot that has gone on in the past couple of days between me and various people of 123ignition so I will try my best. I will post copies of a pdf file containing the emails between the various employees of this company. I am pointing out now that I have intermediate experience in mechanics and engine building but there is a lot for me to learn still. This isn't really much of discussion on the fundamentals of timing, installation, etc. This is more so a post regarding quality of a product and quality of customer service. I ultimately don't want people to make the same mistake I made. I under…

I was tearing into my old seats to take the rails out and fit them to my bucket seat. But then I noticed that the passenger seat rail doesn't slide back all the way. With the car being 50 years old I thought they must have just jammed. But after I lubed them up and slid them back and forth a bit they still refuse to go back to the rearmost notch. At this point I started taking them off the seat and was going to take them apart and figure out what is going on. However, after I spent 20 minutes looking at them I realized that one of the rails may not be intended to slide back all the way! I then searched around the internet for similar informations but didn't see any.…
