are these stock door guards riveted on or glued on?? is that a rivet on the rail going right into the door??? any feedback would be great as i want them gone..

I’ve been searching for salvage yards near me for 280z and found one where I picked up a few parts 2 months ago. I called the yard I went to and asked about the price for the N42 head. As some of you know I’m trying to bring my 1977 back to life and beginning to realize how hard and or expensive some parts can be. Anyway the guy told me he thinks the car was crushed. He then called me back and said it was in line to be crushed this week and I could have the head for $70 Two questions: 1) Is a N42 head worth $70? 2) what else should I grab off this car before it is finally put to death and transformed into a 2019 Kia or a Chinese bicycle. i think the power part is ok - but the skinniest part of the antenna is bent. it is not cut through the meta.. just bent.. what is the best way to try and straighten it?? any tricks?? heat gun? vice?

Hi all, First post! Hope everyone is safe and healthy at the moment. I'm looking to purchase my first 240Z (a '71), but I'm on the other side of the country and would love to have an inspection done on the car before purchase. Can anyone recommend a shop or early 240Z expert that could look the car over for me? I'm of course happy to pay for time and expertise. Apologies if this is in the wrong forum— I wasn't sure where to place it. Many thanks.

OK guys; what's going on here? Passenger side perfect, driver side way off. I got everything on loosely and then attached the passenger side bumper end bolt. All the body panels are straight; everything lines up except for the bumper on the driver side. Car has never been in an accident. Both bumper brackets are identical length and profile (I checked). I tried swapping them side-to-side; no difference. The bumper brackets are all the way back in their slots behind the grille. If I really force it, I can move the driver side bumper end close enough to fit the bolt, but it would be under some massive tension (would pull on the b…

Is it just my 76 Bosch fuel pump that sounds like an overworked drill pump or do all pumps make this much noise? Rubber insulator is intact and pump is isolated from the frame. I will try and get a video of it soon.

I'm very new to the Datsun world. And I need to buy fuel lines from the tank for my 1980 ZX. I've been to Zcar source and Z car depot and some others so far with no luck. What is the best web site for me to go to? I would like to get the rubber filler neck most badly.

But now I have a couple years of mechanic-ing under my belt, and some well placed investments in crypto have propelled me to be on the lookout for a 280z. It is a sad day in my life. I have decided it is time to part with my 1976 280Z 2+2. Also losing my 2008 LR3 due to jumping timing unless I can find someone to fix reasonably. I am having a real difficult time determining a value/price for my 280. I know that this is almost impossible to determine based on actual condition of the vehicle. Just found this forum from reddit and it looks like i have a lot to read 🙂 I found a 280Z imported from california that the owner is selling after 2 years.
