I'm in the process of getting some parts replated, looking for advice on what the best way to store them is, to protect them from humidity an such until I use them. I don't have access to a temperature or humidty controlled storage area, just garage shelves. :classic: Thanks, Jim 1974 260Z - RLS30-020697 (01/74)

I've been looking at this Z and I was wondering if you guys think it's able to be restored. Do you think it can be restored or is it better for me to move on and find another Z? The only reason I've looked at this Z is because it's a low VIN. He says the engine serial number matches the number on the shock tower plate. There was also a little damage to the left front and right rear. Unfortunately, I live about 1,200 miles away from this car so I can't see it in person. Here are some pictures. Input would be greatly appreciated. http://img354.imageshack.us/img354/5262/10005428if.jpg http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/8536/10005432rz.jpg http://img354.imageshack.us/img3…

Two questions on the originality of this car on ebay. 1. Where the air cleaners ever painted blue? I've seen this before, but didn't think it was accurate. 2. The driver's door has a pull handle. I thought only the passenger side had this? Again, original equipment? When I got my 240's, the guy gave me more parts than I knew what to do with. Some of them I'm pretty sure are for some other year Z cars. I'm planning to sell what I can, and toss what's not worth anything. I'm looking to you guys to tell me what these parts are commonly called and what year these Z parts are from so I can have some kind of ebay description. If you have an idea what they are worth if anything, that would be helpful as well. Also if you see anything you want, let me know and I'll be happy to send it your way for very cheap. I just want them gone. Click on the pics for larger versions Part A: Console I'm assuming for a Z, but not sure what year …

This site has been pretty quiet about the 2006 National Convention. Did anyone attend? 26th-z, are you out there, did you judge at the show, have any pictures you can share? It was a pretty big downer when I realized that I wouldn't be able to attend. Still trying to make my '71 perfect for stock competition. It may be too soon after the convention, but it would be great to seen some good pics of the show. Dan

My daily driver vehicle isn't passing smog. It's a 1978 Datsun 280Z. It only drives about 6 miles round trip when I do use it and sometimes I won't use it for 2 weeks straight. I've pasted the last three smog tests that were done to it. 03-27-04 - Vehicle Mileage: 270925 The vehicle didn't pass smog. It was due to a bad catalytic converter (it was the original one) so I should be happy it lasted this long. It was replaced. 04-07-04 - Vehicle Mileage: 270979 Vehicle has new catalytic converter and it passes with no problems. 06-09-04 - Vehicle Mileage: 273108 (2129 miles later) Vehicle doesn't pass smog this time. The only different between now and the previous one is the …
