Saw the 72 240Z up for auction it is a California car, vin in the 72000's there is no reserve ,interior is nice , paint is excellent, could not see mileage or engine no one there to show the car but I know it was shipped in from calif because I saw the transport evelope inside the car !!! Would love to hear it run!!!! Maybe I will go back tommorrow !!!! Told my wife about the car and it she was not happy!! Just sold my 72 904 white and now we can actually walk in the garage!!!!! I will keep you posted as I hear more about the car !!!! Looks like persimmon red or however you spell it !!!!!!!

i have a 1978 280z with a 1982 drive train. when i put starting fluid in it,it will run off that. but i can't get the fuel injection to work at all. do i have to have a 82 ecu and harness to get it to work?? because i already have it and the 82 harness is totally different than the 78 as in hooking things up. which wires would i have to splice to get it to work, or is there some how i could still use my 78 harness and ecu??? please help

Does anyone know a good plate shop. I'm looking to have hood latches, gas line, etc replated. I think the original was zinc cadmium, but may not be. Trying to duplicate the gold/red/blue plating on the original items. Thanks

Well, tomorrow is my last day of school for about a week. I passed my written today, and I take the drive test on April 13th! Damn, I'm lame. Anyways, to the Z. I've got about two days worth of body work left, but she's going to get painted next week. I'm so excited, its been two years, a lot of mixed emotions and other things, but she's almost done. I plan on having her on the road in two weeks. I'll post pictures when I get the car in primer. - Ian.

I've moved my Z car paint code gallery from my site to zhome.com but I am still more or less responsible for its content. Please send me a PM if you are interested in contributing a picture. Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, but have much experience working on cars. This week, my car was totalled, and I am now in the market for a new car. I've always been interested in Z cars and now is my chance to get one. I need something that will be reliable as a daily driver, but still fun to drive and autocrossable. I'm also looking for decent fuel economy. My top choices are as follows: 240z 280zx 280zx Turbo Which of the above would give me the best reliability/fuel economy? Thanks for your input.

Hi all, Finally its thawing out here in Toronto and the weather is getting warmer. I have been hibernating quietly all winter, keeping up to date and reading the forums. I opened the garage and actually rolled the '72 work-in-progress out today to re-evaluate. Pretty soon it should be warm enough to lie under it without my mittens on, so IM BACK IN BUSINESS! WOOOOooooo hooooooo! My plan is (so far)... 1) Finish scraping the 33 yr old undercoating off the last rear well and por-15 it like the other one. 2) Clean and por behind the rear skirt. 3) Finish removing the lines and booster from the engine bay 4) Clean out engine bay, sand it down, por and prime with tie-coat. Does anyone know anything about a Honda NV750 custom motorcycle and how much it is worth. The reason I ask is because a friend just got one for free and it is sitting in my backyard and I am going to mess with it to (try to) get it running.
