The insurance agency gave me a call today, and said that they wanted to inspect my vehicle to see if it is a total loss. Does anyone else in Sacramento have a Z in good condition (minimal rust, straight body, ok interior) and wouldn't mind letting an insurance adjuster get a quote from you?

i've been trying to figure something out here, and maybe this should be common Z knowledge, but are all the early style Z's, 240,260,280, dimensionally the same? i think that the weights changed, but did the wheelbase/track width, anything like that change? any help would be appreciated...thanks steve

Alright, so I'm curious what everyone else thinks the value of my Z might be, minus the front end damage done to it. I have taken a few pics with my cell phone, so excuse the quality. Here's a link to my photobucket album, and I'm not sure if it works, so here's links to every picture in case: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/Fast240Z/Z%20wreck/Z%20opinion/dcp02145.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/Fast240Z/Z%20wreck/Z%20opinion/Image043v2.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/Fast240Z/Z%20wreck/Z%20opinion/Image048.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/Fast240Z/Z%20wreck/Z%20opinion/Image015.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/Fast240Z/Z%20wr…

I'm advertising a coworkers 1972 240Z for him. I will have pics in the next few days. The car is located in Warner Robins, GA. The engine looks to have been recently rebuild and runs strong. Tranny shifts smoothly and finds all gears without hesitation. Rearend is in good shape, no noise. Car DOES run and drive. Car runs VERY strong and has plenty of power for a stock engine. Interior is in good shape, but is not currently in the car. The car was being taken apart for restoration. Upon pulling the carpet up and rear tires off, the rear floor pan area was found to be rusted, but easily replaceable, and a previous owner put fiberglass up in the rear fender wells and when t…

Alrighty then, So I finally get this car up and running again. I know the U-joints now need replacing as they clank and buzz sometimes. What I don't know is what happend to the car this weekend. Yesterday while driving around, I noticed the charge light on my voltometer came on while driving, and the needle dropped to about 12.5 (it normally stays around 15) and the headlights and interior lights were very dim. Combined with that, It was idleing at only about 600rpm. I got out and attemped to turn up the idle. When I did I could hear what sounded like air rushing into the intake manifold, but it didn't change the idle speed at all. Strange. I also switched out bat…

I was just at the Rocklin CA Pick-N-Pull and there is a nice 240, maybe 260 in the yard. I say maybe because it did not have a 240 carb setup but the glove box door said 240Z and did not look for other clues because it was starting to rain. It looks like it has had some restoration work; following is what I saw in a quick glance: Glove box door was in very good shape and is now mine. The pass side fender is very good Hatch is good with glass Tail lights are in "good" shape with some hairline cracks in the reverse lenses. Hood is good Clock was present Man Trans. There was another 240-260 with finned rims I have seen some folks call them "Turbo" rims because they look l…

The folks on HybridZ.org have really come through on this one. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=107279&highlight=wangan It's in Japanese and a little corny but the S30 looks great and the street scenes look pretty sharp.
