The side pieces of the early style bumpes are longer than the indentations at the rear panel of my late 260Z. The holes for the mounting points do not line up with the bolts. As I have no intention (yet) to do any bodywork I need to be creative on the possibilities. I found several pictures on the Internet displaying the rear bumper of the Datsun 510. These bumpers also have seperate sidepieces. These sidepieces are shorter than the 240Z bumper sidepieces, and the mounting bolts are also more to the rear. Is there a possibility these 510 sidepieces would fit to a 240Z centerpiece? :classic:

Hey Guys! Tell me what you guys think of my "not so new rims".My friend called me up from Japan and he said that he got me these rims that would look perfect on any Z but I wanted the Panasport look but he said these were better! If you notice the rims aren't in their best look but I am having them reconditioned. These are 3 piece sets from Speed Star Japan with a polished lip finish and weighs 555kg! If you'll notice the width difference of the Rear to Front pics. I just installed them on the car and they fit perfectly! I wanted to go 17"s but I thought they were to big for the car but thats a personal taste Old school baby. FRONT SETS: …

Hello Sacrilege to some but I now have no choice but to replace the heater hoses in my car with the later style, rubber skinned replacements as currently are available from Nissan. I want to do the whole lot for the sake of uniformity. I am having trouble finding the part number of the heater transition hose in the replacement rubber skinned type. I have seen these hoses on ebay in the past, but not recently. I have a part number of 14054-E3001 Hose - Pipe to Connector. I ordered this from Nissan here in Australia and was supplied with the early style braided type of hose. The later style, rubber skinned hoses seem to have a letter prefix to the original Nissan part numbe…

Hey everybody, I'm new here and just starting to get interested in Vintage sports cars. I'm wondering if you can help me find one I fit in. I'm 6'4" and find many sports cars don't fit. Yesterday, I tired to squeeze into a 1974 TR6. I had good headroom, but there is no way I could drive that car as my knees were eating dash. Are the 240 Zs any better re legroom for tall drivers? Any other sports cars you can suggest that accomodate tall drivers? I'm looking for an entry level vintage sports car to purchase in the future. I like what I see and read about the 1965-1975 Porsche 911, 1969-1973 TR6 and 1970-1973 240Z. I think the wife would freak if I put down more than $15K …

At the risk of sounding stupid or possibly opening a can of worms. A rumor is floating around in this neck of the woods that VIN tags are purchased through internet connections for significant amounts of cash. The concept being (I guess) that one can purcase the tags and create an authentic (looking) vehicle. Or make legal sale of a stolen car. Is this a common pratice IE chop shop? Anybody hear talk of this?

I was at the BJ auction yesterday in Scottsdale (Friday) admiring all of the great old muscle cars; vettes, GTOs, Chevelles, etc, and am wondering when the first vintage 240Z will go for auction for the big bucks these other cars go for! Oh well, maybe just a pipe dream ...

Anyone who has Hagerty insurance get the little flyer? It features 2 Z cars in their "What's it Worth" section. Pretty cool to see our Z's comming up in the world:classic: (I will note that the pictures should be switched) Vicky
