Last year I bought a 2005 Zcar calendar from browntrout.com. They don't have a 2006 calendar on their site. Any ideas out there?

After what seemed like a never ending quest I finally found a free electric range to use for powder coating. I am quite pleased with the results and wanted to say that the HF gun was well worth the sale price. After today's results I'm looking forward to doing other items and have learned allot doing just these few small things. I used Eastwood's powders and they worked well. The items in the pics are all done in black wrinkle coat, the finish looks very old school which is what I was looking for and does cover/hide small imperfections. I am now planning on building a metal cabinet to coat in so that it will be easier to reclaim the "overspray" powder. The cardboard box…

We just got into a car accident in my dad's Escort ZX2. Another driver didn't yield on a green light, and turned in front of us, at ~40 mph. The front end of the 'scort took 85% of the impact, and is now, almost undoubtedly, a total write-off. Inevitably, this has led me to thinking what would have happened if it'd been my Z instead. I know that the 280's (and later 260s) have somewhat beefier (albeit, uglier) looking bumpers, but the question remains, in a thirty year old car, lacking airbags, would I have been allright? The three-point seatbelts, I know, are touchy, and lock very fast, but surely this cannot take the place of an airbag. Four-point seatbelts? What are so…

Having to move my Z around the shop was getting real old to say the least, pushing back and forth, sliding it with a floor jack, you name it I've done it/tried it. It wouldn't be bad if all I did in the shop was work on the Z but over a years time everything from lawnmowers to the daily driver ends up out here. I've been looking at the various car dollies, all seem underbuilt or expencive or both. Being your typical cheap guy I could never bring myself to spend the money to buy store bought ones but have always been looking for the parts to do it myself. Well the time had come, I found these huge used casters for $2.99 each here, http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?UI…

For those who remember my accident in a 72 concours original here are my updates My hand is going fine and my thumb has recovered at 95% of its condition. The doctor told me that it will take some months to be more flexible. At least, I can write (left handed and left injured). As for my baby, after more than two months the parts have been ordered, they finally arrived at the restoration shop last Thursday. As requested, everything is NOS in original Nissan boxes with some written in japanese. It took time but everything is now ready for work. My main concern was a brand new hood and it is there in its own crated box with Nissan markings. By the way, is somebody interested…

Hey guys, after my Black Pearl was sold (Was done behind my back and without my permission) i really wanted another Classic Z, so, many months of searching have finally paid off, i found a 1978 280z, 5spd, pearl white, with 79,000 miles on it. Thank god, the floorpans dont have cancer on them, and the entire frame is very sturdy. The bad: the shifter is broken off about 1/2 way up (no clue how that happened) the drivers side doorpanel is grey, while the rest of the interior is black, and the center console is missing, but other than that, the car is very nice, and im sure i can get it for around $2200 (Canadian), even though he's asking close to 3. So, how does that sound…

Man, I love living in Southern California! Last night, I stopped my my local Albertson's grocery market, and was 3/4 the way to the front door when a white, nicely customized 76 pulls in and parks next to my car. Jun (the owner of the 76) and I compared details and generally talked Z's, when up walks Mike (?), who told us of his 73 in his garage. Instant Z meet! Wish I had a camera. Some of you JDM wheel fans would have loved Jun's Deep-dished Epsilon meshes! Both Jun and Mike say they visit the ClassicZcar.com pages, so here's a shout-out Wazzup Homies!
