Well today i was doing some driveway restoring (or cleaning) and m parts Z shell had to go to the junky. The car itself didnt fit on the trailer i was going to bring it to the junky with, so i cut the whole entire front end off up to the firewall, pulled out the engine and set her back down. now i have 2 halfs of a car and an engine and a tranny. If anyone is interested in any of this parts car plz tell me. I would like to sell the engine or tranny as whole so i dont have miscellaneous parts everywhere, however i do have other parts i wouldnt mind selling ( it was a 100% complete car at one time and ive only sold about 10%) Also the rear of the shell is free for anyone …

I've left voicemail on the phone, and tried via e-mail as well. Can't get a reply from Danny's Datsuns. Anybody been in touch with them lately?

I have been having problems with the fuel system now for a couple of weeks. Every time the car is below ¼ of a tank it sputters and misses like it is starving for fuel. Which it is. I figured this by replacing the fuel filter with no results. I then blew out the lines with compressed air and this worked until I added gas and sloshed the rust around. So I have come to believe that the tank has so much rust it is clogging the pick up when the fuel is low. I know now that the tank has got to be redone. I was lucky and received a parts car from HLS30, Great guy, not to long ago. What fun that was getting it to my house. I will have to post that story later. 1. I pulled tha…

My engine has 110,000 miles and blew the head gasket. I'd like to remove the pistons to replace with standard rings and standard rod bearing. Can I do this while the engine block is still mounted?

Hi, Fairly new to the boards. Looking to purchase my first 240z and was hoping I could get some advise on pricing for a 1973. The one I am looking at in town is in really good shape. Almost 99% rust free with very little modifications . It has been repainted, but not the original color. Also the carbs have been switched out with earlier round tops. What is a resonable price range for something in this condition? I have researched the NADA and other pricing guides but was hoping to get some real life purchase history quotes from people on the board. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Darrel

The gentleman that runs the Opentrack racing events at Willowsprings showed me some pics of his Z for sale on Ebay, and here is his note regarding the car. He has many nice cars and builds them right, doesn't mess around with the cheap stuff. Anyone interested the car he is in the L.A. area... might be able to find it on Ebay or I could put you in contact with him. Here is his recent message when I asked him about his Z. "Craig, I bought the car for a good price and built it myself. I have the car on ebay for sale right now, it's at $5,400 with no reserve and only 2 days to go. Someone is going to get a nice car for cheap. The car has the original 6. Thanks, Kailo" …

I was consulting a wiring diagram in my haynes manual this weekend, and it has 2 different diagrams for the 240Z, a basic model and a late model. My car was made 8/72, so I'm assuming it's a '72 (my registration and vin number search also agree), so would this be a basic model, or would this be a late model? I would assume '73 and up would be late. Which is it?
