510 blue vs 305 blue

I bought a new 280Z in 1976, I thought is was 305 blue but have recently found pix I took of my car and it looks darker than 305 so I looked up the paint colors and found Datsun also offered a 510 Sky blue. The 510 was offered in the middle of 1976 but I don't remember exactly what month I bought my Z so it could have been either color. I scanned the paper pix, the lighting wasn't terrific so I can't tell from the pic. Can anyone who has ever seen both colors in person try to describe them in a reply? Or possible posting pix of each color but colors on monitors can be tricky to get right due to several factors, including the light on the day the pic was taken. I am …

Hello everyone. I'm new to this group. This is because I just purchased a VERY Unique 1976 280Z. The thing that makes it unique is that it only has 350 miles. I purchased it from the original owner. it is in Fantastic condition. Now I have to decide what to do with this amazing find. It has been in clean storage since 1976. The car still has the original PA Inspection sticker, which expired in October of 1976. I'm looking for advice on how to properly restore and honor this car.

Looking for guidance. I have my 1975 280Z up on jack stands. The jack stands are placed per the maintenance manual. I am going to remove the gas tank and the rear suspension. Should I have any issues with the car tipping on its nose due to removing the weight from the back of the car? Thanks! E

Hello, recently I have been watching some sold japanese mountain/street racing videos from the 90's and couldn't help but notice the lack of fairladys. you have your usual rx7 , skyline, supra, AE86 and 240sx but I could only finde these 2 pictures of s30's from that era. It would be cool if you could share some of your pictures and maybe help me to why I cant seem to find any. 240Z Street Racer Oldschool Street Racing in Japan!

GMB 550-8040 Fuel Pump Failures: I have contacted and am now working with GMB of North America; in an attempt to identify the issue of infant mortality aka premature failure on their mechanical fuel pumps for our Z's. The issue has been widely discussed over the past couple years on different Z Car Forums and Face Book Pages. GMB Product Management has ask me if we could return 3 or 4 of these failed fuel pumps directly to them, so they can attempt to identify the problem. If you have kept one of these pumps that failed, would you be willing to package it up and return it directly to either me, or them? If so please contact me directly and we will work out…

Hi! To my surprise, my dad has decided to sell his baby, a series 1 240z. I know the value of these is pretty high and need your advice on how to sell it. He is the only owner, and it has under 90k miles, which he has documentation for. It is all original except: radiator (oem replacement), brake pads, oil filter, headlights (generic), spark plug wires and plugs (generic), distributor rotor and points (generic), engine hoses (oem replacement), some hose clamps (non oem replacements), aftermarket shocks and struts, wheels (mom bought him a set of mags for Christmas 1970 - he kept the covers but not the steel wheels), tires, hatch strut, battery, and antenna (oem …

So I finally have reinstalled my rebuilt stock motor and drive train in the car but I have run in to a few problems I could use some assistance with. Can anyone tell me which of the 2 hard fuel lines on the frame near the alternator goes to the mechanical fuel pump? The rubber lines were shot and I forgot to label which one went where when I cut them off. Does anyone know the size and thread count for the bolts on the sway bar mounts that mount to the frame? I just want to confirm before I cross thread or strip. The rubber boot on my tranny fell apart in my hands when I went to reinstall the shifter. Any ideas where I might find a replacement? Not the one…
