Hey everyone, I have a 1978 280Z that has a lot of rust. I want to get it taking care of and get a paint job while im in the process of doing so. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good Z body shop near or in Los Angeles, CA. thanx

Hi i was wondering what would be the cheapest, easiest way to make a rotisserie or if anyone has one located near massachusetts (yah right) that they are willing to get rid of. I would love to have one because i want to restore my 280z properly and with some ease. Im sure i could just make one with some time but maybe one of you has a superb way of doing it :lick:

I just recieved the stainless steel fastener kits from Z-car Creations, and I have got to say WOW! I ordered six of the fastener kits-all that are available and required for my 240Z Restmod, 14lbs worth, and they are excellent! Every collections of fasteners is clearly labeled as to what assembly it is for, and hermeticly sealed in a baggie-the baggie is heavy duty enough to take some abuse with out dumping its contents. If you take things apart and toss the fasteners in a bucket, as a few unnamed members here have admitted to doing, these fastener kits could be your salvation. While the fasteners are not dead-ringers for oem parts, they are better than the rust prone …

Well, she's got a bit of damage, but there's a 1972 Datsun 240Z with a good front end that will serve as my parts car for this new one. It runs though, so that's good

[re-posted from "Getting help with your Z" forum] So, I had a '78 in high school and a '77 briefly while in college (don't ask where they are now, it hurts too much... suffice to say that they are in heaven). It has been years, my wife and I have been sharing a Murano (LOVE that car btw, we just moved to FL, and I have never had such a satisfying road trip), but she's working now and we needed a second car, something we could buy cash to avoid another car payment. I started looking at Civics and whatnot when I slapped myself on the head and realized what an opportunity I had to finally get the car I'd always wanted (or something reasonably close). The hunt began... I real…

I finally figured out how to post pics. People have asked me for more pictures of my '71. Here are some pics of my progress. I hate working with the diamond plate vinyl. I put glue on all surfaces and then fight the shock tower over and over, sticking and unsticking until it it's "kinda done". I guess it would help if I had 3 hands! I am slowing gaining on the interior. :nervous:

Is any one familiar with the radiators from Jag's that run? Its a site I found on the net that carries radiators with larger aluminum cores. Would this be a better setup for a stock 240z? The web site is www.jagsthatrun.com for those who havent seen it. Basically I am in need of a new radiator and am keeping my options open to see if there is a better cooling setup that wont cost me that much. Plus I kind of like the aluminum mounts that holds it up. If anyone has used there setup I would really appriciate some input. Thanks, Saro

Well i picked up my 1976 280z today. It was a former california car, but somehow ended up in massachusetts! After a short tow home i started to clean out the interior and find out what needs to be done and all that good stuff!
