I saw this 1970 very original 240z on ebay. It needs some work if you want a nice early Z driver (new floorpans, some other body work, tune-up, etc) or a good candiate for a complete restoration. It's hard to find Series I Zs this original anymore (even has the original "D" wheelcovers & radio!) Not sure what the reserve is, but I have a feeling someone could get this for a reasonable price. I would try to buy it, especially since its not too far from Denver (near Salt Lake City), but I have 2 other 240z projects going right now.... ..Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4532044609&category=6187

I bought this Japanese tinplate 1957 Prince Skyline, about a 1:16 scale. I'm curious about the side markings USA IE 0553, and the following markings across the trunk and hood or boot and bonnet..depending on where you are :cheeky: ;CRA-X TMP-18. It appears to have been repainted to represent a staff car? It was a light blue originally , but someone has gone to quite a lot of trouble to mask all the little bits and paint it what looks to be a genuine US Army Olive green. A 1959 Christmas gift for a Capt. Goodwin? Possibly from Okinawa but that is just a guess. Anyone have an idea of what the various sign writing means? All thoughts and ideas welcome! :clas…

Ok, so im new here. Been looking around for a good forum to check this out and see whats up. From what i hear. The motor is new and tranny has been rebuilt. It's in need of a paint job(its orange ) and paint isnt in too good of shape. And the interior needs some work but nothing too bad. Original wheels, wipers, you name it...except the motor and tranny I have the chance to pick it up for 750. But i need to do some work on my 300zx and sell it first.

About 1 week ago I removed my engine and put it on an engine stand. The engine stand I was using was a run-of-the-mill 3 leg engine stand with mounting bracket. So the engine was mounted on it at all was well. I began to notice the front wheel on the stand was a little shoddy but it was ok. So today I rolling the whole unti to move it, and I must have hit a pebble or something, all the sudden the front wheel pivots to turn around. The sudden shift in the movement of the wheel caused the whole engine to begin to tip. I wanted to save it, but last week I had a plate and screws put in my left hand so it was in a cast, and there was no way I could save it with just my …

I had been looking for a quality shop to chrome my rear bumper. I have received estimates, from all parts of the country, ranging from $280 -$650 :surprised for all five parts. I decided to give a local shop the job. They come very highly recommeded by our local hot rod club. They gave me a price of $370. ($150 for the center section, $85 each for the ends, $25 each for the over-riders) I took the best of my two rear bumpers but the owner of the shop said that the price would be, for the most part, the same for any decent rear 240Z bumper, including removal of a few dents. He estimated $10. per hole if one were to want the rubber strip holes welded up prior to the chro…

I spent a few hours hunched over my computer looking for a speedo cable last night and found a great big fat zero. I am guessing I have the origianl 240 4 speed manual. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And btw this site is the best I have found so far on the Z.

This model is on eBay at the moment. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6917828816&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT I have not seen many of these, but the story about it is valid. These little gifts were given out for various occasions. Some Japanese dealers gave plated car / cigarette cases away as gifts for buying a Z. They are collected seriously in Japan and come in gold, silver, and bronze plating. Thought you model freaks out there would like to see some of these. I would love one.
