A 21,000 mile , 1970, Series 1 240Z just sold on BringaTrailer for $310,000 (U.S.). Not a misprint - there are six digits there. I tried to get into that page to see what people were thinking, but at 800 plus comments, the forum seized up. Might be a good time to update that insurance appraisal. Cheers All,

I am looking for various 240Z-related logos in vector formats (.eps, .png, etc.) that I can use for printing decals, etc. Does anybody know a place online I can find these? Looking specifically for the classic "Z", "240Z" and others. Thanks!

Hi guys, Do you recognise the Datsun 240Z shown in the pictures I attached? Supposedly it has LS3 + T-56 manual under the hood etc. nice things.. If yes, I would appreciate if you answered.. It is supposedly for sale now, but I just want to be sure whether it is a scam or a legitimative ad and deal... I just don't want be screwed.. That's why I am asking this.. Thanks for your help! To my understanding it was auctioned in Nov 2018 (based on browse results I found in internet).

I've been trying to gather picture data of the original factory paint marks used during the assembly process. Using the search function, i guess I may not be identifying correctly what I am looking for. Has anyone mapped out all of the yellow splotches of paint used during the assembly of a 240z, or have pictures of survivor cars which depict the location of said yellow assembly marks? Thanks for any help from a helplessly addicted originality GEEK!

Hey Guys, I was sent here from the Hybridz forum. They said you do more factory and stock cars so it might be a better fit. I wanted to introduce myself. I bought this car 2 weeks ago from an old lady down the street. It was her husbands and he bought it in 1973. The build date is 6/1971. He never drove it in the rain and kept it nice. It hadn't been run in 7 years and hadn't left the garage in 10. I put gas in the carbs and tank, aired up the tires, fired it up and drove it home. It has 98k miles and service records since 1973. I have never owned a z before. I have been reading a bunch and getting familiar with it. So far I have changed the tires, belts, f…

Hey everybody, I'm new to the forums and owning a Z car. I just bought my first one (and hopefully last, but we'll see where that ends up), a 71 series 2 car. At least I think July 71 is a series 2. Anyhoo, I hope to learn a lot from some Z veterans and hope to help anyone with the experiences I have with my car. It's rust free (ha), or as rust free as I'd like it to be. Got it from California and sent to my home state in the rust belt. We got our first snow acouple days ago so my new Z I've driven twice now will have to sleep for most of the season in the garage. In the mean time I'm doing some basic fixups and cosmetic changes. I've taken out all the carpet an…

I've been looking for a project. I've been mostly looking at 4x4 old truck stuff. The other day a friend of mine asked me to help him move a 1984 veet that he just bought for $500. When we got there he mentioned there was a 240z there that the guy was also selling. I looked at the z took a few pictures and today the car is sitting in my garage. I had no idea my next project car was going to be a z car. I've always loved these cars. I was born in 1960, so the 1970 is just about the time I was starting to see and feel things. This car was one of my first loves. I've never drove one. This will be the first z I've ever driven. The man that owned it before me loved it. H…

Hello, I am gathering info to rebuild or replace my steering rack, inner and outer tie rods, and the steering shaft ujoints. I don't know if I am going to rebuild mine or order a reproduction from Z Car Source. I have a few questions. Does anyone have experience with the reproduction steering rack from Z Car Source? I can't find any reviews. Does anyone have the part numbers for the steering shaft u joints that come from a Kawasaki four wheeler? Does anyone have the part number or link for a steering pinion bearing? Thanks for the help, Bill

Does anyone have a source for a thermostat cover and housing for a 75 280? I've tried all the normal sources like Morotsports, Zcar Depot, etc with no luck. Also, will the 240 thermostat cover work on a 75 280. The OEM 75 cover was 2 bolt. Thanks...Ron
