The purpose of this thread is to discuss Z-cars at Concours events. I know that individual Concours events have been mentioned here on classiczcars.com, but I was hoping to set up a thread that might encompass all of them so that the subject is not so scattered. The goal is to have a Concours thread where people could offer tips, voice their thoughts and opinions, promote local Concours events, and of course show some awesome pictures. First off, entering your Z car in a Concours show is really a mixed bag for us Z owners. I remember excitedly talking with bobc about this subject the first time I was accepted into a Concours show. With sage advice, he told me not t…

The only option listed on the bill of sale for my 1973 240z is a "padded console armrest". I am the second owner and a personal friend of the original buyer. The car was well documented and all receipts saved in the file I now have in my possession. I have to assume this is the original armrest as my friends state that it had never been replaced, nor is there a receipt for any interior work. Any thoughts from anyone on the subject...?

What's the difference...? I need rubbers for my 1973...and no one seems to have them. I can wait on the fronts, but the rears have to go on before mounting the bumper to the car before installing the gas tank, etc, etc, etc....

While there is a bunch of work to do on this 240z could be a winner for someone with restoration talent. Sitting at $600 last time I checked . https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-datsun-240z-110/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey guys, I have 5 hours to burn and have found a cool salvage yard. It has three 280z’s and one 240z. If you need something that’s not really big or difficult to remove post in this thread and I’ll see what I can do for you. This is where I found Mikes ashtray for his 240z a few months ago. Current feedback requested. Including some pictures for additional review and feedback. It may be best do the floor pans as we're already addressing the rails. Bad Dog's seem to be more beefy and I am wondering of there'd be any concern with material type/size using the Bad Dog rails with floor pans from elsewhere. And only the front frame rail is/was damaged. But comtemplating do the rear as well. The passenger side is also worse off than the driver side. However, contemplating doing driver side as well. I am aware of other outlets (Datsun Z Parts, MSA, Z Car Depot, etc). Considering the timeline of the posts of now closed threads, how relevant is the informati…

Breaker Breaker. Anyone have a CB radio in their Z last century? Or was I the only one? Those were the days, Good Buddy. Mounted it under the glove box and the antenna was attached to the rear window louvers before I upgraded to a magnetic base antenna. Catch you on the flip side. Dennis

I don't need anything fancy. Just looking for one somebody has used and been happy with. Just enough to fit well and keep the sun and rain off it. It's parked outside in So.California. Doesn't need to have a lock on it or anything. I can stop by Motorsport Auto and pick one up if they have an option you guys like. I'm also happy to order online.

In working through the refurb of a group of fuel rails I came across one with some unique properties. I'm hoping @kats or anyone else with insight can help me identify the unit - is it possibly a JDM / Fairlady part? The first pic is the unique rail with a typical '71-72 240Z rail behind it for comparison. The second pic shows two unique properties: the supply and return nozzles are equal length versus offset, and the first mounting bracket is fixed - not on a pivoting insulator. The third pic shows a small brace installed in reverse. The fourth pic shows a wide mounting bracket versus a narrow one. Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, I am rebuilding the MC on my car. I as able to remove the primary piston assembly from the master cylinder but the secondary piston assembly is stuck in the housing. I only saw one snap ring on the diagram. Should it slide out like the first piston assembly or Is there a trick to get it out? I don't want to get too rough with it and scratch the bore. Thanks, Bill

Went to cruise night Wednesday. Probably my last for this year. They have a Halloween "Trunk or Treat", but it's turned into a zoo! Always fun to show up with the non-Detroit car. First time all year another Datsun showed up. This is a right hand drive JDM car with Fairlady badging.

I am going to check some of the fuel injection components on my 1976 280z. I have a Sears Digital Volt/Ohm meter and I am a little confused on which setting to use. On my meter under ohms I have the following: 200 2000 20K 200k 2000k When I use the "200" setting I have a resistance of "1" just using the probes themselves. Therefore my confusion. Thanks in advance for any help.
