Hello classiczcar members. I must say that I have been on the site searching and searching for a quite a while. I decided it was long over due to introduce myself. I live in Longview, WA and I have had my 1973 240z for a little over a year now. I picked it up down in Portland, OR and have done quite a bit to it to get it on the road and recently started tearing it down for some rust repair and paint prep. It had been sitting for 10 years in a garage and was the same owner for last 20 years. I've loaded just a few pictures in my album to start, unfortunately I didn't take many before I started taking it apart so most of them are just repair shots. To get on the road…

New guy to forum, but Z's have been in my blood as long as I've driven. About 20 years ago, my first was a '72, orange on black, I was 2nd owner. A "friend" decided he'd "borrow" it, and ended up perpendicular to a curb at 50mph. Second, about 12 years ago, I was at the right place at the right time to get a "deal" from someone who needed to offload a '72, orange on black. I figured it wasn't bad considering the (unfortunate, non-stock) upgrades he had on it. Thing ended up being a basket case, rusted, cut springs on top of bad struts, manifold leaks, overheating, do not pass go, etc. Not something I had the time, patience, money, or space to deal with at that time. …

Hi, I'm Z fan from El Salvador C.A. And I came from the extinted IZCC forum # 14184 Since I was a Kid the 240z was my dream car, I get my 240Z like 11 years ago, great shape, but the engine died ( very damaged ) after 4 years , here in El salvador was a Little hard to find a L24 -L28 engine , the existing Z's here was imported from USA. so the car was left in the mechanic's yard for a couple of years, he put a 2T toyota engine only for move the car. but the engine stay a cuple of years in the car, so was my daily driver until I get a Sentra SE-R , but due to stay in a yard for almost 4 years, the car have some rusted areas, plus some dents and repairs due t…

Hello everyone! I just got a '72 240 with an '83 zx motor swap a few weeks ago. I've been using the search on this site a ton so far and figured I'd finally say hello. Everyone seems massively awesome! I'm new to classic Z's, but I had an '03 350z for a while. She was actually what got my blood boiling for old school. I currently have a Nissan Versa, and the 240. I'm not amazing at working on cars yet, and have been having issues with the 240 already, but have found this site way helpful. :classic: Here are some pictures of the Z....I'll have more recent ones up as soon as I get the car moving again. Thanks for looking! I'm also curious if anyone knows if…

hey all, my name is chris and i just bought my first Z. ive been looking for a good one for a while now bust most that ive found were in rather poor shape. so when i found this one i jumped at it. its a 77 280z. i paid $2500 for it, i think it was a rather good deal. its in good shape for a car this old. the floor panels and frame rails are rather beat up and the rocker panels got some deep rust in them, but over all thats the bigest problem with the body. it currently runs, and preaty good to(but very rich) right now im working out all the mechanical and electrical issues. once ive got it all figured out ill gut it and start on the body and interior. im hoping to have it…

Hello there! I am honored too of found such an awesome forum that I shall be digging through for months! I can only hope that I can bring a wealth of mistakes and errors others can learn from and help the forum grow! My Name is Alex and I am a very lucky complete newbie. When I say Newbie, I mean I have some basic car knowledge, I could probably point and explain to you what each part in a car is and its function but with some minor difficulty. I've changed tires and oil by myself! Woohoo! I will be learning everything from scratch about restoring and fine tuning.. but I am passionate. I have been reading, researching, youtubing, like crazy in the last couple of we…

I don't know much about this site or where to go but thought i would jump and say hello. I'm a first time owner of the z car, pick up a really nice 76 280z 2+2 all orig this Christmas, always wanted one after years of looking. This car runs and drives really sweet, I wish there was a way to install power steering to it, I think that would really set it off. I bought it to drive and enjoy and later maybe a body kit. But for now it's fine just the way it is. I Hope to get to know a few of Z fans as time goes on and I'm sure I'll have some moments where I'll need to count on you for answers. Glad to be a part of you club. Cheers, Mike.
