Hello,:lick: im soooo new right now, like to this forum and my car. so im a 16 girl and i bought a 75 280z it cost me a grand.(yes, i bought all on my lonesome, no parental or granparantal help) so far i put in a new battery and it had a radiator leak and i got that fixed today. it still has a oil leak tho... i had some of my buddies from autoshop do a compression check on it and its excellent and it still has most of its emblems and original seats, carpeting, steering wheel, interior and dashboard is in "cracked" conditions and the passenger exterior door handle is busted, so it cant be opened from the outside, only on the inside and the hatch wont open. being a …

Hey guys, I figured I'd branch out over to this website as well. I'm a member on hybridz.org and Zcar.com and noticed this place existed as well and looks like a good forum. Anyways, I have a 1974 260z with the original L26, '70 round top SUs, header, 280zx 5spd, and some muffler. Here's some pics I've taken thusfar in the past 4 or so months of ownership. I am the third owner, the first being a Nissan head mechanic, and the second being an X-ray tech who only drove it recreationally. I'm located in North Florida, and had a fun 30-something hour round trip, no sleep, to get this puppy from Kentucky. Also, I had the car dyno'ed locally on a mustang dyn…

Little bit about myself. I'm Justin, a University student in Whitby, Ontario (about 30 minutes East of Toronto where I was raised). I've been into cars since I can remember and love working on them about as much as I love driving them. I've been on the forum for quite some time (Signed up back in May '05) from back when I was originally looking at S30s, but I never ended up picking one up. I had 2 R32 GTRs and a Z32 so I figured the time wasn't right for another toy. Anyway, I sold the GTRs about a year or two ago and just recently sold my Z32 so I figured I would finally take the plunge and pick up an S30. After a few weeks of road-trips to look at Z's - most of w…

Like the title says, I've been part of HybridZ and some local club sites for awhile now, and I'm just trying to branch out to all the well traveled Z sites to get as much exposure as possible. I picked up a 74 260z back in February, with the intent of building it up and turning it into a semi-DD and road race car. My plans are pretty typical... coilovers, holset turbo and megasquirt, etc. It's coming along slowly (by my standards, people tell me I accomplish stuff quickly?), but I'm ecstatic to be able to start driving it around town just recently. If you want to check out all my progress pics and a few videos, head over to my CarDomain page.

Hi all, My name is Steve and I've been a Z owner off and on since 1980. 2 73's, a 76, and an 81. The latter two briefly, the 76 to fix up and sell and the 81 as a parts car for my second 73. I'd been Z-less for almost 10 years 'till I picked up a 72 coupe last summer. I hold an ASE Master Auto Tech Cert but I haven't been in the auto repair business for 10 years since I sold my shop in Tucson, moved to Indiana, got my BSME at Purdue. I am glad to have found this forum full of very knowledgeable Z owners. My new baby needs a lot of TLC as it was, according to the previous owners (a farmer and his son), found abandoned in a barn by the farmer when he was contracted to tear …

HI everyone, I've been searching for many years for a rust free car but came to the conclusion that it doesn't exist here in Canada (Quebec). While searching, I went on the atlanticZ website and found some nice guys that import them from California........ my research has stop here. Few weeks later, the car arrived at home and I'm very happy about it. Very solid, nearly rust free, nice interior and nice chrome parts. The car seem to run well but need a little refresh on the mecanics. It has been sitting for 19 years bit is very well preserve. Paint is pelling but this I can handle easely (I'm a bodyworker) Glad that I found a low number vin (....2901) and can't wai…

I figure since i'm on here and picking the brains of the z-gurus, I oughta at least hello. I'm Paul. Live in North pole, Alaska (really) and have found my third Z. Surprisingly, I've found 3 others here in slightly worse shape. I'm working on getting one of the 3 for parts. I've had a 72 240, a 74 260, and now have the 76 280 i'm working to get back on the road. this is my first foray into the EFI world and am seriously digging thru the troubleshooting trees. Thanks to all who've been so helpful!

I have not been active here for some time and the winter is finally over so I bought the old girl some new shoes. Konig rewind, 15x7's with Kumho Ecsta KU31 205/50/15. The new suspension goes in soon to drop it and reduce the amount of gap at the wheel wells. Here she is..before and after

Hello. My name is Mark. I live in Kingston NY & I recently acquired a 1981 Datsun 280zx. I saw the car for sale on a used car website and it seemed too good to be true. It had under 50,000 miles, original owner and not a spot of rust on it. My wife and I took the trip down to Williamsburg VA on a Friday afternoon. We stayed in a hotel Friday night and I hardly slept a wink. Saturday morning when we pulled into the seller's driveway and I saw the car sitting there I knew right then that I would be driving it home later that day. I have loved the 240z-280zx since I was very young and I have come close to purchasing a few over the years but nothing ever panned out. When …
