I've been visiting the site now for a few weeks, and decided to post up photos of my new 1975' 280z. I've owned the car for about a month now, after a long time of searching. I just wanted to introduce myself before I start firing a few questions off in hopes to get some help from some other experienced Z owners. It's nice to have found an active Z Forums with other people who are just as passionate about Z's as myself. -Mikewags

Hi, I'm Randy and live in Tennessee. Driving '77 frankenstein, '81 motor, Su's, '73 four speed, Pontiac 6000 seats. I also have a '73 240, a '79, and '81ZX's, and a totalled '77. My son has a '79 and a '78, stepson has an '81 turbo. Needless to say we like Z's!

I'm new to Z-cars... and to Nissan/Datsun in general... but I've always appreciated the classic beauty and motorsport-heritage of the early Z-cars and would like to own an S30 soon.

Hello I just picked up a '71 240Z, straight runner. The suspension is all original and in dire need of replacement. I had thought to do this all myself, but after watching video of other Z's in restoration I was reminded of the amount of work needed to strip, clean and reassemble the vehicle, especially as I would have to refit the garage in the process. As an alternative, is there anyone in the Puget Sound area you would recommend to do a full suspension upgrade? Cheers! Woody

Hey everyone. Just doing the new member thing. Well lets see my one and only Z car is a 1974 260z which is slowly being revived. I bought it as a graduation present for myself back in 2004 and right now it is completely stock and on jackstands. Kris

So, never thought I'd be a Z owner, I know nothing about Datsuns, but I was looking for a project and found this 1977 280z on craigslist. One owner, guy bought it new when he was 35. 129K miles on it, garaged, but a bit neglected. While I'm not a HUGE football fan the "Z-Hawk" stickers made me grin, the body is straight with minimal rust, and the interior is in very good shape. I fell in love with it, and it died on me not 10 minutes from the guy's house! After tinkering on it a few nights in my buddy's back yard that first week, I managed to get 'er home. I think I need to rebuild the fuel system from the filter to the injectors, maybe replace the fuel damper, maybe the…

I am new the whole web forum thing. So I am not sure how to do this asking for help or finding answers on web. My car is a white 78 - 280 with 69,652 org.miles. I have had it over 2 years, but dont drive it much. My plan was to work on it (but also have a 72 chevelle that I also had plans for) and restore to it's formal glory. It is in great shape and when I do drive it it does get a lot of attention. This brings me to my situation: this weekend my timing belt on my daily driver (2000 nissan crewcab w/ 297,500 miles) finally snapped - it is in the shop. So, yesterday I charged the battery, washed and checked all fluids and I drove the Z to work. At lunch, after getting it…

The folks from Google recently came through my neighborhood and photographed my street for their Google Maps Street View project. That's the view you can link to from Google Maps in order to see a panorama street level view instead of an overhead satellite view of a neighborhood. As luck would have it, the Z was parked at the curb (see avatar). Anyone else have their Z caught by Google? Dennis

Hello, I am in the process of restoring a 72 240z and am looking for a front bumper. I found one on eBay and was outbid in the last few minutes. If you know of anyone who has a front bumper in good shape, please let me know. Thank you for your help!!

I was only recently introduced into the world of restoring classic cars, and, after much hunting, am now the proud owner of a '72 240z. It runs decent, but is a project car. It will need new tires if I am going to drive her before spring, as it has slicks on right now, and gets no traction in the snow (fun drive home). I was thinking about getting a whole new set of wheels, because there is nothing wrong with the tires and it would be a waste to get rid of them. Then I could switch them out for summer. I was looking at some used rims to try and save a few bucks, but wasn't sure if they would last. Any suggestions? I'm just kinda wingin it right now, and am looking for …

Finally :cheeky: My mummy was nice and took pics for me without me even asking. I'm likely flying up on Friday and commencing the road trip down, a nice little 6 hour shakedown, though I'll take it easy, so maybe 7. Really the hubcaps need to go though, I know. Under the 1" of wool, the interior is in great condition... ...With original window sticker even! No pics of that though 15 year old Maaco paint will eventually give way to orange/yellow/lime, would like Daisy hubcaps and 240 bumpers in due time, other than that I plan nothing other than maintenance and enjoyment... Love having a Z around again

Here goes..... I am just a driver to an 1983 280zx 5 speed N/A T top (Dad's car). While he is out of state I have the honor of keeping his car yeeeaaaahhh for me. At first I though omg I am not driving that thing it needs a paint job has red interior and a door panel on the drivers side. Well I decided to drive the car (Which I have named Zippy) and well as ugly as she is I can't help to find a reason to go go go go. My husband kept saying I thought that you wouldn't drive it. Now I have been working on her tracing down burnt out wires and all just to find a short in the turn signals. Nope no luck yet but I spent easy 3 hours a day working on her. And nope I don't d…
