I came to the forum because I find myself putting more and more time and effort into my car. I think it is starting to take over. This is my first z car, and I love it. But I am frustrated, because I really need help and no one has replied to my thread in the help me section. Please! Some one help! I want my car to work.

...this past Saturday. 72 Z, AZ car, good floorboards (woohoo), some light rust on doglegs, no perforation, battery tray corroded badly... Original metallic brown paint (shot) with butterscotch interior (mediocre condition). I started by pulling out all the carpet and sound deadening, and cleaning all the built-up debris and dirt out of the interior. It's remarkably well-preserved, and thankfully it's complete and stock. Put a battery on it just for fun, and all the electric components worked - even the radio, haha. She fired right up with some starting fluid, so for now I'll be dealing with cosmetics. The next couple weeks will be spent pulling all the rubber and t…

hey im Johnny im pretty convinced that the next car for me is either a 70-78 240z or a 280 i love the looks of the 240, whenever i see one i just find myself drooling over it, and i've done that since i was about 6 years old when my dad bought my brother a 280 for his 16th birthday and then my dad sold it to someone else (which highly pissed my brother off) and ever since then i have wanted one. i've done some research on them so far and im not stranger to manual chokes, no p/s, and letting it warm up before you drive it. so i wont mind that so much as of now my car is a 1996 ford probe se. its kind of riced out, fwd, but it does handle like a dream, which is about the …

Hey everyone. My name is FreeZe. I am new to this Forum, but not to Z cars. I live in the Charlotte area of NC and I have a 1990 Z32 2+2 and a 1978 S30 2+2. Lots of plans for both cars. The Z32 is being built for Drift and the S30 is being built for Road Course. I own my own business selling Performance Parts for JDM Sports Cars, so it makes it a little easier to get parts, but it still takes time. I plan on attending the Z DayZ event this next month, so I hope to meet a lot of you all. I am always up for meets and events, so don't hesitate to send a PM or e-mail. Thanks.

I found this little gem on Wichita craigslist last month and knew it wouldn't last long, but to my surprise it was relisted at a lowered price 3 weeks later. I went and looked at it and knew I had to have it. It is a 1968 Datsun 1600 Roadster with 58,663 actual miles (have records). I bought it from a banker who had bought it (3rd owner) for his wife on their 30th wedding anniversary in 1983 and they put 1285 miles on it in 25 years!!! It does have a bad respray and a few rust bubbles on the fenders and rockers, solid floor pans, but a good driver and looker for being 40 years old. It came with owner's manual, service records from new, radio instructions, tauneau cov…

Hey all.....My name is Chris.... not really sure what to say here. I've always wanted a "Z", but never seemed to find the time or car that grabbed my attention. That all changed recently..... I was scrolling through a local "used.com" site and found a guy that is selling 4 1974-1978 "Z" cars. His father bought them all from the local Datsun dealer where he was a mechanic. I'm kinda stoked, but not sure what I need to look at...as in which one would be the better buy. I'm almost toying with buying all 4, just because! The one I first saw, and spent most of the time drooling over is a 1974 260Z in a real nice dark blue metallic... Not sure what all the different engine spec…

Greetings, My name is Kyle, I'm a relatively new member of the club and have appreciated all the knowledge gained so far... I live in Portland, OR. area and currently own a '75 280Z and an '85 300ZX. To makes thing even more interesting, I am flying to San Jose, Ca. on April 26th to pick up a "new to me" '71 240Z. While the current owner (of 23 yrs) of the car is confident the car can make the trip back north to Portland, I'm wondering if members that live along my intended return route might PM me with contact info just in case I have unexpected trouble. Yes I had the car checked out by an independent shop prior to purchase with good report card. The owner has provided v…

So my parents are starting their own little farm, and they wanted a small farm truck that they could use around the house. Well I found a 1975 Datsun Pick up through a guy at school. He said he knew this old man that had it and wanted it gone. I told dad about it and he was interested. So we go and look at the truck. The owner, who happened to be a very nice old man . said he wanted 500.00 for the truck. Dad and I both almost past on the deal as the truck has allot of rust and God only knows whats wrong with the wiring. We started to leave but the old man stopped us, he obviously really wanted the truck gone. he said " I will sale you the truck for 250.00 and I'll thr…
