My mom had had 1973 240z that her parents bought her new when she graduated high school. And it was still in existance when i was coming up on my 16th birthday (4 years ago). 4 flat tires, faded tangerine paint, and a motor full of spiderwebs, but it became mine. I fixed it up enough to drive and it was my first car. A year later, I got a new toyota tacoma pickup and my dad was having the now not running z towed to his shop in anaheim on a flatbed truck. Somewhere on the 91 freeway, it fell off. and that was the end of my first z. But not my last :devious:

I just bought a 1973 240Z and just registered here. Its a restoration project car. Years ago I owned a 1971 Z and loved it. I swear I'm not having a mid-life crisis I know the 240Z's fairly well as I did a lot of work on my first 240Z. (including rebuilding the engine personally). I loved the way my old Z drove and have been waiting for a few years now until my financial situation improved to buy another one. In a few weeks I will begin the restoration process. I have been reading the forum threads here as others have posted their restoration experiences and I will do the same. I intend to keep this Z for a while so I will be puting some time, money, sweat and te…

Hello all, Just bought a 70 240 #387. I know some of you on this board have seen the car on ebay several times. I was able to drive up to Dallas from Houston and get a good look at it, made the guy an offer and he accepted. I've been wanting a 240 since I was 14 years old.......so now that I finally have the resources and time, I have the car! The car looks and runs great. The speedometer/odometer was replaced at around 92000 miles so the engine has roughly 108,000 on it. Rust doesnt seem to be too much of an issue. The body is solid and has been well taken care of. I know alot of work has been done so Im looking forward to getting the car into someone who knows m…

Hi guys(and gals)! I`m new to the Classic Zcar Club and in fact posted my first question in the wheels and brakes section just the other day, no replies yet. Anyway thought i`d introduce myself. My name is patrick. I`m from manila, philippines. Its actually my dad who owns the 1973 240z. Chassis# H15301L39510 Engine # L24145369. But he`s too busy these days so i get to start maintaining/driving the Z. I know very little about 240Z`s and Z`s in general. I`ve only driven it once, and what a rush(on the straights anyway)compared to the 2L 914 i had when i was stationed on Mcguirre AFB in NJ in the 80`s. My personal car for the past 13 years was a hu…

Hey everybody, my name is Chad and I am currently going to school in McPherson, KS. I recently purchased a 1981 zx 2+2, thinking it would be a fun car to work on and drive. Unfortunately, after talking to a few people, I have found that the car is not structurally sound at all. :disappoin So, I hunted around, and found a '75 for cheap which is much much more solid. :classic: So now I am parting out the '81. :disappoin Has anybody else had experiences like this? Is this the best thing to do? Thanks! --Chad

Hello my fellow Z car enthusiasts. My name is Alex and I'm from Toronto, Canada. I'm currently in the process of getting a '72 240z from arizona and shipping it over here. I refuse to buy a Z car from canada or the northern states because of the rust! I have been into Nissan's ever since i started driving about 12 years ago. I just recently sold my S13 240sx I have owned for about 7 years. I'm a very hands on type of person and do almost everything on my own in my garage...from swapping in a sr20det engine in the 240sx, suspension, etc.. I'm also really meticulous when it comes to cars. The slightest imperfection will bother me, whether its a paint imperfection, stone ch…
