Hey gang~ Am I ever glad to be here! What a great group of Z fanatics. I hope to get to know some of you in time. I'm excited to go to some events in the coming years. There are such great stories behind these cars. Here's a tidbit of mine. I'm Brannen from Denver/Tulsa. I know, I know...it's a long commute. I work in Colorado through the week as an Eyecare consultant for Carl Zeiss optics and my other half (Lynn) is in med school @ OSU. Cool girl (and brilliant); talked herself into a beautifully customized, restored Z car before we moved to Tulsa. I had a pretty sweet '77 280 back in college but couldn't afford to fix all that plagued it. It was time to catch the car di…

Well, I'm new to the Z cars by 6 months now. I was on over at HybridZ, and received some help with my projects until I met Zs-ondabrain, who has been helping me a lot, and mentioned this forum to me. So I signed up a week ago, just haven't had time to sit down and introduce myself yet. I bought a 2/1972 240z with a L28E engine for $600. Can't complain, and slowly and surely restoring it. I love it, and its my first Z car to boot. I have a dream for this car, and it will become reality slowly. I'm going to convert it from the dual SU's to a turbo after I put in a new interior and get the body work done. The body has the usual cancer for a car this old, and it even …

I just joined your site as it seems to be inhabited by nice people.I am building my first z, I always wanted one so I finally got myself one for my 40th birthday . I payed $1500 for it from a "swine rancher". It had sat for a few years as a home for mice and a collector of rain water. I have decide to build this car for auto-cross F prepared. My resources for parts and info are pretty limited as I live in Livingston Montana, so I am looking forward to haveing some good folks to ask questions of and to bounce ideas off of. I wish you all the best. sincerly joe. P.S. I am not good with a computer so please f…

::classic: As a kid I used to love going to my boyfriends auto shops & hang out with everyone, clean parts, hand them tools or just watch them do jobs. I would get dirtier than they would. I was living at my fathers best friends house and there were 2 Z cars in the back yard. Sitting there just rotting away, getting hit with floods every year(4 ft. water). My room-mate was going to get rid of the cars so I told him to give them to me & I will make 1 good car out of both of them so I pulled out the tools & started doing just that. 2 weeks to the day the owner of the cars came over and started doing the same thing. I asked him what he was doing with "My cars"? H…

I wanted to post this link to a car I saw for sale last month on ebay. It obviously didnt make its reserve price but thought some of you might want to have a look. It might not be to the taste of the absolute purists out there, but still a very nice job done on the restoration/refreshing. Click the link in the ad to see alot of photos of the car both before and after. The before shots looked great, the after speak for themselves. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-Datsun-240Z-Original-Mint-Vehicle-Restored_W0QQitemZ150153188342QQihZ005QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
