My name's Julio. I've been posting on the forum, but did not do the introduction thing... I had two 240Z's when I was younger. I bought my first, 1 73' 240Z after graduating college in 1978 that I sold in 1985. I missed driving a Z and later on did a cosmetic restoration of a 1971 in the late 1980's. Sadly, the 1971 was hit by a truck while parked and totaled in the mid-1990's. In December of 2007 I bought a silver 1972 240 w/ 75K original miles. I drove it from Arizona to the SF Bay Area after the purchase. The car drives straight and the engine is strong. It's "almost" rust free, nothing a little some Por 15 won't fix. There is a small amount of mode…

Just wanted to say hello and get in the game here. I joined out of curiosity and nessicity. I recentley inheriated a car from my father inlaw. It is a 1979(or 80 he gave some long story about this confusion) Fairlady 280Z (or zx). It has RH steering. I am trying to decide what I want to do with this car. It needs a lot of help. The body is in very poor condition. Interior is useable but very faded and dryed out from living in Vegas for a number of years (and the dash pad is toast). It has a running issue starts fine but once warmed up starts missing very bad like it is dropping the #1&2 cylinders. I think this would be a very cool car once it is done but dont know if …

After many years I am putting my 1970 240Z up for sale. I just joined the club to do the best thing for this car. I hope that someone that wants a car like this has a chance to get one. More details to follow, but, I want every one to know, this is an east coast southern new england car with no rust and with only 65K miles on it. Not bad. Its is not free of problems or repair but it runs and would be a good starter car for someone. This is hard for me since I love the car so much, but as the title says, It's time to say good by!!

Hi all, I've recently started looking for a 240z. I'm not too interested in a numbers matching, stock, show room, collector car. I really want a car I can work on a bit, tune and drive it on nice sunny days. My oldest brother had a 240z and I have always wanted to own one. I’m pretty mechanical and patient. I work on karts, race cars, Jeeps, etc. The car I have in mind will end up being dark green, tan leather, gold panasport wheels, around 250-300 hp (turbo?), 5 speed. I doubt I’ll post much for a long time, but I’ll keep an eye on the classifieds and the tech pages. Cheers and thanks in advance for all the knowledge! -Pete

a couple crappy pics of my ride sunday morning after bringing it home.. bought the car for $250 with the papers, the bike was $50 with a locked up engine, went there to buy the car for $300 so technicaly I got the bike free :stupid: bike had no plugs in it but Ive already got the engine free'd up, no spark though.. the wires are all rat chewed. car starts, runs for a second at 1.5K then acts like its out of fuel, dies, when the fuel pump finaly kicks off it runs again the same way. anyway.. piccy goodness

Hello all, Site looks great, can't believe it has taken me this long to find a site like this and start becoming active on my Z car club membership and restoring my car. Sold my modified 260z over the summer (bought on eBay Nov '05) to purchase a fairly original 1970 240z (on eBay again). My new car has a build date of 1/70 and is serial number 000797 so I am looking forward to restoring it close to original without too many modifications (other than the new msa header i put on). Risky buying cars on eBay but I've really been lucky with my last one and this one too; true Datsun owners/sellers on eBay have seemed to be honest and good to work with. I'm somewhat active in m…

My name is David (Dave) and I am currently doing lots of reading/research on the 240 so I can avoid noobie mistakes when I finally purchase one of these gems. My late father raced the 240 and 260 in scca events and even let me be a parking lot "co-driver" so these cars are very close to my heart. Just wanted to introduce myself and look forward to chatting with you folks.
