Hi, I live in Monmouth County in New Jersey and just recently purchased 1975 280Z. The car failed state inspection due to emissions. Therefore, to pass inspection I am tiring to find someone to service my Z, and having a problem doing so. I even called several Nissan dealerships and they did not even know what a Datsun was, incredible. Does anyone know of someone who works on Z cars in Monmouth County New Jersey? Thanks Mike

Hi everyone, My name is Andrew and I am from West Chester, Pa. I have been around cars all my life, my family has owned a car stereo shop for 55 years now. I have been doing stereos and other ICE for about three years now in everything from Nissan's to Porsche's to a few Ferrari's and Bentley's, and I am fortunate to have had the experiences and the opportunities to work around vehicles that I am so passionate about. (If any of you Mid-Atlantic people need a stereo feel freel to PM me!) My current ride is a 2002 Honda Civic Si, lightly modded. Not too sure if it will get much love on here, but I appreciate all cars, not just one sect. My best friend's dad has been a Da…

I have a 1972 Datsun 240Z in a storage garage. It belonged to my husband who was going to restore it, but he passed away. My friends husband was going to fix it, but due to lack of $$$ and knowledge of these cars it didn't happen. I never even heard of these cars up until 6 years ago and do not know how much to even ask for it if listed for sale! Which is what I am going to do. It does not run and needs work, I remember purchasing carburators a few years ago on ebay, along with a new lock and ignition set. I am located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Can anyone offer any info/advice????

Browsing the web looking for z car information and found you guys/gals. I currently have an 82 280zx that I am fixing up/driving daily (just cause I like it and want to). My main quest though is this: I recently got a car from my brother. He started messing with it, let it roll down a hill and dent the door, and told me to come get it. He says it's a 76 260 fairlady z. It's RHD and all the stickers are in Japanese. Not that I don't believe him, but I can't find any information, and have only become a z car owner recently. I'm looking for advice on how to identify the car. I've been messing with it for about 2 months now and just got it fired up 2 weeks ago, so I'…

Howdy, My big brother's '71 240-Z has been loved for decades, but time to let go. We're needing to decide some things, and learned lots from this site. Does it make sense to spend dollars for diagnostics and fixes on this California Native? And if so, given what you can see on the links here, feedback would be so helpful. Some pictures here... http://www.classiczcars.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=2133 more here: http://asta.bizhosting.com/240Z-5.htm Some things on the TO DO list for this weekend, include cleaning up the dust and topical stuff from engine, floors and interior. Got help here on some ideas that are ecologically sound yet helpful. YAY! T…

My name is Savage and I drive a 1977 280Z that I named darlin. Darlin the Datsun. My dad got the car brand new in 1977 and let it sit for over a decade until I took her into my loving arms. Its a working progress but she'll be perfect when I'm done. I'm about to graduate from North Georgia Technical College with an automotive diploma. I know a little, but not near what I want to. I've always been the only girl in every shop, therefore its not always that easy to get the guys to think that I'm capable of doing the same thing they are. Hopefully I can get a few ideas from here. I'll try to get some pics up asap.

I've been around Z cars since '71 .Some of you "old" guys might remember me from the St. Louis and Georga conventions. I have a Red/White and Blue 240 that ran pretty well.I haven't been doing too much since Katrina hit New Orleans but I'm getting bored and thought I'd start "playing"around with Z cars again.Looking forward to visiting this site. Thanks,Bob

Hello Everyone, I just joined the Classic Zcar Club as a member. I have looked at this site in the past, but decided it would be best to become a member. I have a '72 240Z that I have owned for maybe 10 years. I bought the car from a local owner (Cleveland, Ohio area) who bought it from Arizona. It was redone in about 1986 from what I can tell (a photo album came with the car). It is a solid car with some rust in the panels in front of the rear wheels, which I intend to replace over this winter. The car is slightly modified for performance. It has the 240Z motor and 4 speed, but now runs with an N42 head and Motorsport 2-into-1 headers. It has Koni adjustable shocks and 1…

Looks interesting here, finally bought the wife the 280zx that she's been wanting since she saw one around 1980. It's in overall great condition for a 25 year old car. Fixed the turn signals, the emergency brake, cruise control and got the A/C blowing in the right direction. From researching the internet this was all done painlessly and at no cost. Not sure how I missed this site the first time out! Now I just need to learn how to get the slight skip out and how to fix the clock!

Alrighty, after "negotiating" for the relase of these photos from my ex-girlfriend, I have pics of one of my Z's. These were taken at Motorsport this year. I've owned her for 10 years, and believe me, there are some stories and adventures to tell. I'm sure everyone out there can relate. She was repainted back to her original color (#306) last year. The interior is halfway done, tranny rebulit, and running strong at 299,000 miles on an un-rebuilt engine......I apologize for the giant images. My pride and joy. [email=<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc171/andysplit/Motorsport20072.jpg" border="0" a…

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=1971+240z+vegie+car&btnG=Google+Search I'm new here, and learning great stuff about an old family treasure, the Datsun 1971 240Z and others who think it's top notch! Kinda blown away on hearing that a "Z" could possibly be supported by environmental views and fuel alternatives. Could this really be? Just wondering as a true novice. :surprised So surprised. Helping my brother with his 1971 240Z, and wondering about this a lot.
