Hi everybody! I am Tilman from germany (actually from the city where the brabus company is located) and stumbled over this site while I was searching about 240Z. At the moment I am trying to sell my 1999 GC8 WRX to get my hands on a nice 240Z. I havent driven one yet but the timeless design just hit me. I need to get one. My plan is to change the brute power of the WRX for some style of a vintage sports car. I just briefly searched through al the infos inside the forum but that only brought up more questions. I am only used to rise the boost and be happy with the kick in the back you get from it. I am totaly new NA engines, especially engines with carburators. That…

Hi all, Been in love with the z for a while now, but never had the guts or the budget to tackle one. Seems like the time has come for me to fulfill a dream. I don't have much to speak of in terms of skills or tools, just time, patience and willingness to learn. I've been reading as much as I can both about Z's as well as welding, patching, this and that. It's all a little intimidating as you can imagine. But I've decided to give it a shot, and use this opportunity to start a life long hobby. I have to say, I've bounced around many car forums, but this has to be one of the most technically sophisticated car forums out there, lots of info to soak up. I'm about …

I have a 74 260 with an 83 L28 engine, triple phh44 mikunis, automatic and air. It's an old man's car and I have it close to running but I need to take it to a mechanic to do a little fine tuning on the mikunis. It's about a five mile trip with a tow bar. My question is: Do I have to drop the drive shaft for this distance? I'll be back with more questions later. Ravin

New Member signing in. I've actually had my 72 240 Z about 10-12 years. I've put pictures of it up in the member pics section. It's not much to look at now. I bought it from a Gentleman who was moving and didn't have room for it anymore. He gave me mucho paperwork and I thought the title was with it but suprise...no. So I drove it only a few times and then parked it trying to figure the title bit out and never did. After sitting in my in-laws garage a few years I tried to sell it without the title with no luck. The car moved around from my in-laws garage to my brothers garage and now sits in my in-laws barn/old shop. I had made mention of the fact that I needed …

I plan on swapping in a 3.5 from the 350z into it but I am starting to think that the car is to rusted out to do anything with. O well Im looking through classifieds but if anyone has a 240z they would like to sell thats in decent shape PM me

Just bought my first zcar, it is a 74 260. Very solid car with newish silver paint, lowered (I think) with the Pana sport 16 inch rims and 205 55 16 tires. Only bad thing is it has a blue interior which i will change to black someday. Just bought me a 74 parts car that was setup with the JTR v8 swap kit and a black interior to help with my future plans. Just wanted to introduce myself before bugging you people with ?s. Look forward to learning from you, Thanks Greg

Hi everyone at classiczcars im nate live in vermont im a former foxbody fanatic who just opened my eyes to the datsun z and cant baleave iv never shown in interest in them earlier. Im in the process of finding a clean 240 or 280 to start my project. My future idea once i get more familiar to the z is to do a motor swap with either a 2jz-gtte i have waiting for me or keep it all nissan and drop in a rb25det so any tips or suggestions are all welcome.
