Did a 600 mile road trip in my Z this weekend winding through California's redwoods and wine country. I can't think of a better car for a trip like that. Devin

Perhaps this should've been my first post. Well, hello everyone. It's great to join this community, as I have found a plethera of knowledge thanks to the users. I have owned my 78 for 10 years, and like the rest of you I love my car. However, I'm still a little behind the more technical side of things, so please bare with me as I'm still catching up on basic automatove knowledge. At any rate, glad to be here.

Hello everyone, and i'd like to say i'm excited to join the Z owner community. Today I just purchased my very first Datsun and It’s a 1976 280z, the body is in excellent condition but it’s a project car for me, I look forward to the input this community will provide as I continue my journey to a fully restored, classic Z.

Hello everyone. My name is Tim and I'm in Shelby, North Carolina. I've owned many Z cars over the years, and my current project is a 1973 240Z. I was doing online research on the carbs when I stumbled upon this site. I got the cars from a friend of mine who had them stored in a garage for many years. I say "cars" because one is a parts car. This is how they looked before I took them. The green one is the running one. The yellow one is the parts car. I have the engine for the parts car, even though it's currently removed. The green one has round top carbs on it, but I still have the original flat tops that it came with. My friend had put some headers o…

I recently purchased my first Z! Its a 75 280Z 2+2 body. I'll try to post a picture of it in just a bit. Well I've always been a honda guy so this is a change for me. I am planning to do mainly restorative work on the car. Just little things here and there and then using it as a daily driver. Hope I'll get to know a lot of you guys! http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6414/img0380hi5.jpg' alt='img0380hi5.jpg'>

I am selling my car, I thought I would never be doing this but I have to. Going to college and using the money that was intended to buy books and using it to fix my Zed isn't going to work. I had another problem, I know it is minor but they never end(problems). There is a gas leak in the gas tank. The gasket that goes in between the fuel pressure sending unit and the tank is worn, hence the gas leak. I will change it tomorrow and she will be ready go. It also needs a new U-joint for the drivetrain but I don't think I will be changing that. There is an ad in the classifieds. This feels so bad but I have to.

And I don't even have my Z yet. it's been partially paid for, and shipping is being arranged. My father owned a couple of these, and I will be working the best I can to get my Z to be like his used to. The interior is in rough shape, and the body has some rust to fix. I paid less for the car than I did for my laptop, so i don't feel so bad. I'm pretty damn handy with tools, and can fabricate just about anything out of metal. I'm a medieval armorer, so sheet metal work is nothing new. As soon as I can get the car here and get it tagged and cleaned up, I need to get an air cleaner box, and will almost certainly be rebuilding the engine while I paint it. The guy who sold i…

I have just joined the classic z site. I have a 72' 240z.4 speed. with just about 75K org. miles on her. no rust at all on the car. but yeah I'm pretty new to the z family and i just a have a couple questions. The 240z that i have has much larger rear fender flares. and a much different rear wing then i normally see, all of which is stock. Is this some type of special option? I have no idea. could someone help me identify my z!?!

Well my dad is the original owner of a 1982 280z that i now drive. I am only 17 years old but have a passion for learning about cars. I do not know very much about 280z's but want to learn more about them as far as the engine and possible upgrades.
