Hello, I wanted to introduce myself and my current Z project. My name is Wade and I live in Denver. My current Z project is a 1971 that Ive been working on for almost a year now, as time and finances permit. Ive had the honor of meeting a few folks around the Denver area due my Z and they have turned me on to this site. Thanks Darrel and Steve! I really like the laid back attitude many folks show here and how helpfull they are to everyone. Hopefully as my knowledge of these cars grows I can pass some of that info on to others as well. Youll definately see me snooping around the early Z threads looking for advice on different stuff, sometimes I pop the garage open a…

Hi Everyone, Just introducing myself. We are in Perth West Australia. Myself and my partner have 2 Z's. He has the 240 and I have the 260 (2 seater coupe). The 240 is patiently waiting restoration while I have used the 260 to commute daily for the past 10 years or so without so much as a whimper from the car, although air conditioning would make me a much happier person - getting a little hot down here at the moment. We are struggling for clues and thought someone might be able to give us some leads. My poor old girl (260) is in need of some new door panels, amongst other things. Quite a few years ago we were given a panels catalogue from a friend that lived in Flori…

Hi, im new here and i'm an alcoholic. Doh! (this aint rehab... or is it!?) I love sports cars I already have two an Mr2 Spyder and a Lexus SC400. I came across this 1973 datsun 240z that a guy was selling for cheap. I mean really cheap like $300. The dash is perfect and thats about it. The rest it rust bucket. It has a twin down draft carb, accel igniter, 280z turbo trans., old k&n filter. The body is really not as bad like its falling apart or something but the floor board has a hole. The owner says it'll run just with fresh fuel and a new battery. Is this worth resurrecting? I think it is but I dont have space for it right now (I'm working on my corolla 20v swap a…

I've never been able to drive my 240z yet since i got it, because its always been "in peices". So i dont really know how fast it is. I want to know everyones most crazy kill storys but, heres the thing, your car has to have the L24 engine. Please include any mods you have done if any. Just trying to get an idea about how quick a 240 really is and what it is capable of. Sanks Matthew

Hello to everyone... This summer I purchased a 74' 260Z auto with 68k miles. It spent it's entire running life in Hawaii, then was shipped to the main land in 1990 and was put in storage until this now. With that said, there is no rust on my Z, but I am dealing with all kinds of funny issues common with that of any car that has been sitting for 15+ years. So any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, I've been a lurker here on the site for about a year and I've been a registered user for a few months. I just purchased a '75 280Z (the one in the avatar) from 'Vegas and I'm having it shipped to me here in the Houston area at the end of the week. 1st generation Z ownership has been a longtime dream of mine since I sold my first car, a '77 280Z 2+2, back in 1989 for an '81 280ZX that I hated (no offence, but it was a luxury car with sport styling.) But I have only one problem...I'm stuck in insurance hell!!! I want to insure for more than the NADA or Kelly Blue Book value. And don't start by telling me to look into Hagerty. I looked and they're fine but I'd …

I'm jerry and after 28 years a 240Z owner again. Picked it up from 1st owner two weeks ago, drove it home and have made it through the brakes so far. It's in pretty good shape considering it is 35 years old. Its missing a couple of parts and in need of some new shoes and beautification. First, does anyone have a push button latch for the rear deck? I'd like to keep it weather tight and I have all this worthless crap in the garage while my project sets outside. I live in Florida and I know someday it will rain. Drop me a line.
